Chapter 164: Assassination on Strong Hammer Military Base (III)
All the men exited the runic laboratory, their faces pale from the pain that caused the procedure but also broad as they felt the power coursing through their bodies and spirits, slowly enhancing their existence.
Vlad was tired, but his eyes were sharp as he signaled the seven women to enter the runic laboratory. Despite the fatigue, his hands moved with extreme dexterity and precision. In four hours, all the women exited the laboratory, each with a bloodline matrix on their bodies.
"Accommodate to your new power and try to adapt to the innate traits they will grant you. Go back with the Royal Guards. They will train you and inform you about your next mission," Vlad instructed the group before opening access to the tower’s first floor. He then returned to his laboratory and closed the door.
Even though the Xaos King’s attitude could be considered rude, all nineteen warriors clasped their hands and performed a deep bow before leaving the underground level. Words meant very little compared to actions, and the young man had engraved power into their bodies, so what more could they ask of him?
As soon as the group left, Vlad closed the entrance to the Xaos Tower’s underground level before falling asleep. His mind finally rested, but not for long as night fell. The A.I. Chip opened his eyes, and despite being very tired, he sharpened his focus and left the Xaos Tower.
Amara had been waiting for Vlad outside the tower. The young man and woman nodded to each other before leaving the fortress and heading to the location of the demonic horde.
The duo did not take long to locate the demonic horde as it did not move much, and the Royal Guard training resumed.
"Her last time yesterday was twenty minutes and twenty seconds, but now she has already reached fifteen," Vlad’s eyes narrowed as he saw Amara’s movement through the demonic horde. It was clear that the Royal Guard had used the day not just to rest but also to polish her skills.
In the end, Amara reached sixteen minutes inside the horde before being noticed by a demonic beast. Vlad was ready to make his aura explode to give the woman a chance to run, but something impressive happened.
Before the demonic beast could signal the rest about an intruder, Amara’s dark dagger struck its brainstem, silently killing it. Of course, the death of a demonic beast alerted the rest of the horde, but by the time they started to look for the intruder, the Royal Guard had already flashed away.
Surprise appeared in Vlad’s eyes, and a radiant smile soon arose as he saw how much the young woman had improved in such a short amount of time. It was not just a change in skill but mentality, allowing her focus and composure to remain steady even in absolute danger, always searching for a way to run away.
