Vlad’s eyes widened as he saw how the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental began to channel a dark and corrupted energy from the pool of Molten Demonblood Essence, generating dark red lightning in its right hand. This energy was dark and evil, more than simply energy—it was something else, something that made his entire body react.

A meaningful light appeared in Vlad’s eyes as he saw that energy being infused into the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental’s attack. "A.I. Chip, scan it!"

Vlad could not move, but he could still use the A.I. Chip to analyze the nature of the force that the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental was charging into its lightning.

[Beep! The force being taken from the Molten Demonblood Essence Pool is of a psychic nature! It embodies a chaotic and nefarious will, capable of twisting the mind and ego of those in contact with it!]

When the analysis of the A.I. Chip echoed in his mind, Vlad could not help but clench his fists. That power could enhance any form of attack and destroy the mind of a High Champion without a problem, but things were more complicated when it was directed at him.

A sharp light appeared in the young man’s eyes as he saw the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental charging the attack. Before he could even finish his thought, it blasted forward, forming a dark red lightning maelstrom that marched toward him with overwhelming destructive power.

Vlad showed no fear as he saw that maelstrom getting near, but his eyes widened as he saw a figure appear in front of him. The one that jumped before him was none other than Freya.

The young woman’s entire body was riddled with wounds, and she must have used all her strength to flash forward. She barely had a faint wisp of Force and totemic energy left in her body, but there was no fear in her eyes, only determination as she raised her shield, intending to protect Vlad from the lightning maelstrom with everything she had.

A sense of shock assaulted Vlad as he saw the young woman standing in front of him, her figure valiant and ready to take that attack from the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental. He froze for a second before a smile appeared on his face.

"You beautiful idiot!" Vlad shouted as he used his rage to give his body just enough strength to move forward, grab Freya’s armor with his left hand, and pull her behind him, before raising his right hand to take in all the power of the dark lightning maelstrom.

Freya was shocked to find herself thrust behind Vlad. She had focused all her energy on facing the incoming attack, so she could not prevent the young man from pushing her back.
