Chapter 80: The power of the inner circle
Clasius, Amara, and Roman showed broad smiles full of thrill and excitement as they saw the fall of the Spiked Gorilla. That creature was a Champion demon, capable of killing dozens of people at the Mortal Tier without a problem. Yet, they took him down by exploiting their abilities and teamwork!
It was extremely hard, and Clasius almost perished more than once, but they succeeded thanks to everybody doing their part. Their sense of thrill only grew stronger as, in the following second, thick streams of golden energy began to flow into their bodies.
The Plane Will was rewarding them for killing the Spiked Gorilla with Origin Force, and even after it was divided into three, it was more than they could obtain from killing demonic beasts.
Before, the trio would have allowed the Origin Force to flow into their Sea of Consciousness and become Force Water, enhancing their energy pools. But things had changed. Thanks to Vlad’s guidance and cultivation techniques, they understood the importance of carefully nurturing their energy pool and not stressing their Sea of Consciousness.
Luckily, their bodies would not face that problem, and they sent their Origin Force into their flesh and blood, restoring their stamina and improving their strength and vitality.
Clasius benefited the most from the Origin Force. Although he had not given the final blow, he had taken the brunt of the battle, and it was his last hammer strike to the elbow that incapacitated the Spiked Gorilla, preventing the demon from blocking Amara’s sword strike.
As the Origin Force healed Clasius’ wounds and strengthened his flesh and blood, he glanced at Amara and Roman. There were no words from their mouths, but they had trained hard for this moment, and a single glance was enough to determine their next move.
Not far from where the Spiked Gorilla had fallen, the Fire Bear still resisted the barrage of explosions and metallic projectiles. The attacks had riddled his body with wounds, and there was not a part of his fur that was not burned or bleeding, especially his right paw, which he had used to protect his face.
Yet despite all that, the Champion demon showed a fierce smile. The power of the human spellcasters was impressive, incredibly high for Mortal standards, but it was still not high enough to take him down, and he could feel how their energy pools were diminishing rapidly.
