Chapter 50: Feelings and Destruction
"Rick, are you there? My name is Valentina Morales! I’m the Police Captain of Aethoria City!"
"Hey, Rick! My name is Kaito, I destroyed some of those drones that tried to enter my territory... Are you sure something so weak is made by aliens?"
A woman’s voice full of pride, followed by a rather mocking man’s voice interrupted Rick’s words... Two other survivors were contacting him...
"Wait a minute, your signal is not secure..." Rick sent a message back to the two survivors while asking Ethan to try to replicate what the astronaut did.
"Anna was in space and we weren’t... I can replicate what she did, but it won’t last long, so keep it brief."
"Okay, you two can talk now, but keep it short, this signal protection won’t last long and I just received terrible information..."
"As I said before, I defeated many of these drones and even two androids, are you sure they’re aliens? And why are they after people who can see the future?"
"Yes, actually time went back almost 10 years... And they’re after people who remember the apocalypse... According to the astronaut, I contacted just before you, there are 13 people like that, but there are only half left now."
"Rick, the numbers are wrong, there were 15 people... I’m protecting one of them here in the capital right now." Valentina replied.
"Oh, hehe... Hey Valentina, how are you?" Kaito asked, smiling.
"Rick, be careful with this man, his name is Kaito Hattori, and he is a wanted assassin and mafioso here in the capital. He probably has some ulterior motive for contacting you." Valentina replied, completely ignoring Kaito.
