Chapter 48: The Mystery
Acantha and the others went inside the clinic As they got inside, they saw some suspicious things at the place. The other people didn’t come in as they were still scared of what would happen to them, but some went with them to see if the people who were found dead were their loved ones.
Acantha saw that Helion and the other knights tied the knights who threatened them in the corner.
"You won’t get away for this," Acantha heard one of the knights say.
Acantha glared at the man; he has the nerve to threaten when he can’t even do anything, and besides, who would dare touch them if they knew who they were? unless...
"Look at here, Your Highness." Acantha lifted her head and saw what Jarnus was showing at Helion.
"Isn’t this a fake mana stone?" Acantha heard Helion say as he lifted one of the stones as he examined it.
"But this one is different from what we got from the baron," Acantha said as she got "the stones from Helion, and she didn’t feel anything from it. "I’m right, this one didn’t contain any dark energy. It’s just an empty shell, or- " Acantha stopped in the middle of her sentence when she noticed something from the shelf where they got the stone.
"This is a -," Jarnus said as he got that thing, and his eyes grew wider when he saw it.
Everyone who was in the room when they saw the thing that Jarnus got, some was even crying as they saw it.
"How can a clinic that was supposed to be curing people have a human head here?" Acantha said as she was covering her nose that the smell from the corpse head was really bad.
Acantha walked again and found a room, and she tried to open it, but it seemed like it was locked. She saw Helion walk towards here, and he kicked the door open for her.
