Chapter 47: The Commotion....
Mildred was about to say something, but Acantha sighed at her.
Acantha’s cheeks were red as she was being hotseated by Mildred, who was looking at her with her serious face.
"I am glad that there was nothing between you two," Mildred said as she sighed at me.
She looks like she was relieved to hear those words from me.
"But may I ask why you ask, Mildred?" Acantha said as she looked at her again.
"I just don’t want you to get hurt, my lady. Besides, His highness is already engaged with Lady Noraya, who was favored by the empress." Mildred said to her.
Acantha already knows it; when Helion and Noraya got married in the novel, there was no one who was happier than the empress herself, as she was the one who brought the two together.
"You don’t need to worry, Mildred. Besides, what the prince and I had was purely because we had the same goal: to finish and kill all the monsters in this empire." She said as she turned around on her.
Acantha changes her clothes that Helion and Mildred bought from the market as they were going to gather some information.
"I have asked some people about the rumours that we heard, but they said it was just a rumour that those people were killed in the mountain," Helion said as they walked at the market.
"Didn’t they find those bodies at the mouth of the mountain?" She asked as she looked around and saw that there were so many people in the market.
