Chapter 55: Why don’t you follow the plot?
"Liana, what do you like about Loraviel?"
Liana hadn’t expected Elina to phrase the question this way.
"What do I like about her?"
Liana tapped her chin, pretending to think. "Is it her cuteness? Her obedience? Or maybe... the way her face looks when she’s afraid? It’s hard to choose."
"Why? Are you interested in Loraviel too?"
"I only heard some things about her from Neibet," Elina admitted without hesitation. "I heard that Loraviel was originally supposed to attend Ibet Magic Academy. But because of you, she missed the entrance exams and was forced to stay by your side as your maid."
"That does sound familiar. But isn’t staying with me better than going to Ibet Magic Academy?" Liana smirked. "I’m the daughter of the Venus family. I can give her things she could never have on her own."
"And what method did you use to threaten her?"
"None at all. You can ask her yourself—she chose to be my maid. I didn’t force her into anything." Liana’s voice was sweet and innocent.
She had only presented Loraviel with two choices. The final decision had been hers to make.
"You’re all so obsessed with Loraviel—it’s making me a little jealous." Liana’s gaze bore into Elina.
"Neibet, Olivia, Mepeilu... and now you. Everyone wants to take Loraviel away from me. But the more you try, the more I want to keep her by my side. I just love seeing you struggle for something you can’t have."
