Chapter 94. Planss
George always prioritizes Amelia. He constantly looks out for her, especially when he senses that something bad might happen. George knows that Amelia is kind-hearted and easily taken advantage of, which is why he considers himself more street-smart than she is. He also understands how to manage his own desires. For instance, when I asked both of them what they wanted, Amelia immediately expressed her wish to travel abroad with her friends, and George simply went along with it without a second thought. He didn't ask for anything in return. Small details often go unnoticed, but when you live together, you begin to recognize these nuances.
"Okay, we will take a break for now. I know all of you are hungry, so let's allow the waiters to deliver the food." Soon, many waiters arrived with plates in their arms, serving the dishes. "While we enjoy the food, I will call each person listed for the 18 gifts. After that, let the party begin."
"First, let's call Amelia's best friend, Bea. Please come to the front to present your gift and explain why you chose it," the host announced.
Bea, who was about to take a bite, froze mid-air when her name was called. "Damn, she didn't let me eat first," she complained to the host but walked to the stage near the sofa where Amelia was sitting.
"Hello, I'm Bea. My gift is a necklace that has our pictures together. So no matter where she goes, she'll always have me by her side," Bea said.
"Thank you. Next up is Jane... Mika... Brent... Remi... Tristan," the host continued calling one by one as Amelia's friends took their turns.
"Madison, could you please come to the stage to present your gift?" the host requested.
Madison walked to the stage, and everyone admired her beauty. "Hello. My gift for Amelia is a camera. She and her brothers, along with her friends, are going on a trip this Sunday, so I bought her this. Happy Birthday, Lea!" She kissed Amelia on the cheek and walked back down.
"Can we call Sabrina to the stage, please?" the host announced.
Sabrina walked to the stage next to Amelia and began to speak. "Happy Birthday, Amelia! My gift for you is a wooden tumbler with your face carved into it. I thought it was cute and perfect for you." She smiled and kissed Amelia's cheek.
"Miss Elizabeth, could you please step up to the stage to present your gift?" the host asked.
