Boken couldn't help but shrink his pupils again. His whole body tensed as he looked at Mio with vigilance and fear.
He never expected there to be such a relationship between this newcomer and Bullett. If Mio really intended to deal with him, wouldn't he have to face two monsters alone? And Bullett was not an ordinary opponent.
Even if Boken had to face Bullett alone—especially in the current environment—he wasn't confident he could win.
After all...
There were hundreds of pirate ships docked along the port. If Bullett were forced into a corner, he could merge with all those ships. No matter how hard Boken fought, he could never beat that version of Bullett.
"Damn it, Bullett, are you planning to get involved too?" Boken asked harshly, a warning in his voice.
He had witnessed Mio's strength and didn't want to add Bullett into the mix. If that happened, he'd be left with only one option—escape.
Unfortunately, in response to his words, Bullett merely raised his eyes slightly and gave Boken a brief glance. He offered no reply. His gaze remained fixed on Mio, as though waiting for Mio's cue to take action.
"Tsk." Mio grinned and spoke lightly. "Bullett, do you think I'm stupid? I don't need your help to deal with this guy."
"That's a pity," Bullett replied, a hint of helplessness on his face.
