Chapter 205: Blood and Allegiances
Another wind blade passed by.
A blood-red gash appeared on the man's neck, and a stream of blood gushed out.
The man instinctively clutched his neck, staggering backward several steps. With a mixture of fear and fury in his eyes, he stared at Lilith and hissed through gritted teeth, "You Black Crows... do you want to start a war?"
"Start a war?"
Lilith smirked, her lips curling coldly. "Didn't we already start one? Otherwise, how could you be dying now?"
Then she covered her red lips with a delicate, pale hand, as though a sudden realization had struck her. "Oh, right," she said with feigned innocence, "You should die now—just to show our determination to start a war."
Just as the words left her mouth—
Squelch!
A crimson tentacle pierced through the air, stabbing cleanly into the man's abdomen before retracting with a splash of blood. A deep, gory wound split open across his midsection, blood pouring onto the ground.
The man collapsed instantly.
Lilith chuckled softly behind her hand. "Looks like you'll die soon. Still, let me send you off properly—to spare you from the pain."
