His entire left arm was gone, there was barely a stump left where it had once been , now covered in a layer of disgusting scars that had probably been build atop scars which seemed to have been made in the same way.

He watched in pure horror as the scarry tissued that was left, tightly spanning over what could only be called a stump out of which a bone shard was still protruding, was slowly wriggling, squirming like countless maggots that were all eating each other in a desperate attempt to survive, to heal themselves, to free themselves off of this hell.

But he knew what was happening, the scar tissue was eating, devouring itself and consequently rebuilding his old skin, just like that which was now happening everywhere on his body, so much so that he really refused to look, out of the sheer fact of how disgusting it looked.

And as if that wasn't already enough bodily horrors to vanish the shard of bone that was still protruding from his stump, causing tiny droplets of blood to stream out along the long shard that he know realized he was able to slightly move, until it was pushed out.

As he watched he felt his muscles crawling inside his body, pushed by the foreign energy and forced to expel the now useless body part out of it, and finally, with a sharp pain that seemed to be as bad as when he lost his hearing, if not much worse due to the simple shock and psychological horror, the bone which kind of resembled a dagger fell out of the flesh in which it somehow still took anchor until it all convulse one last time, and landed in the pool of blood with a plump sound, sending a small wave to ricochet along the small pool that now more so resembled the tiniest river in the world.

Finally, Cades really took a good look at the blood that had now formed a true tiny river along his feet, a river that was slowly streaming away from him and towards something laying not too far away, almost as if it wanted to point him towards something...

And then he began to really look around.

Over there, where the blood streamed towards, not too far away, though he could somehow not tell how far away it really was, laid a body, one that was not made out of wood like the statues that seemed to surround them everywhere.

And as if that wasn't already enough, the fact that Manug had most likely already died some time ago, he wanted to walk towards him but was stopped, instead taking about a dozen steps back as he saw something that caused his entire body to race in pure terror.

Just a tiny bit away there stood a seven foot tall statue that Cades knew far too well, it might've been burning before the wind extinguished it, but he could still tell that it was that monster, the thing that put him into this state.
