Chapter 604 - Cosmic Overlord Legion
Soon, the Mythical Mechanic Godslayer tore through the void, apparently returning from eliminating the foreign enemy that had illegally invaded Stellar Moon. The Republic’s higher-ups breathed a sigh of relief. However, they didn’t realize that Godslayer’s thoughts and mentality had already undergone certain changes now.
Godslayer possessed combat power close to that of a Primary Divine. The Republic’s higher-ups would never have thought that he could still be bewitched.
The only remaining Primary-Divine level beings in Stellar Moon, who were the Tree Monarch and the Chaos Dragon God, were not experts in mental control. The possibility of an alien like Lu Ran being a Primary-Divine level combatant proficient in mental control was even more unlikely. Coincidentally, Lu Ran’s situation was pretty much exactly that.
Although Dark Crow’s species rank had not reached the Primary-Divine level, it was no less than a peak Evil God’s. Coupled with Lu Ran’s King buff, which enhanced the persuasiveness of his words, and him using Six-Path Flower’s Alignment Perception ability to dig out Godslayer’s mental weakness, the targeted approach really wasn’t much different from Primary-Divine level bewitchment.
Everything returned to calm, as if Lu Ran had never appeared.
Within days, however, Stellar Moon Republic’s higher-ups discovered an incident. The Primary Divine Research Institute had vanished into thin air. No alarms were triggered. The other mechanics who had leadership authority over the research institute also didn’t notice. The only one who could bypass so many intelligent lifeforms and accomplish this undetected was Godslayer.
Many Republic higher-ups jointly questioned Godslayer. “Godslayer, we need an explanation.”
Seven optical screens appeared around Godslayer. Behind the light screens were men and women.
Godslayer remained very calm and said, “The previous enemy came for the Mechanical God. The Primary Divine Research Institute’s current location is unsafe, so I had to relocate the research institute.”
“Why didn’t you discuss it with us?” A high-ranking official in the Republic, behind a light screen, questioned.
“That person’s strength was considerable. Currently, within the Republic, I am the only one with the ability to resist them. The more people who know about matters related to the research institute, the less safe it becomes.”
Although the Republic's higher-ups were dissatisfied with Godslayer’s explanation, they had no other choice.
