Due to their trust in Godslayer’s ability, and because Lu Ran didn’t seem like a good person, the Republic's higher-ups issued the order to subdue Lu Ran. Upon hearing this, Godslayer, who was unaffected by Lu Ran’s words, raised his arm. A summoning array appeared, and a special gun-type life form was grasped in his hand.
It was a Lightning-attribute Legendary gun. It shot out a golden beam that transformed into a lightning rope, instantly binding Lu Ran’s entire body. The intense lightning was enough to instantly electrocute a Low-Legendary divine beast into unconsciousness. However, bound by the electric rope, Lu Ran showed not the slightest sign of passing out.
“Give up. Unless you use a weapon with enough lethality to seriously wound a Superior Legendary, you can’t affect me. But do you dare use such a weapon in the Republic’s capital?”
Lu Ran reached out and tore apart the electric net binding him. As Godslayer and the Republic higher-ups’ expressions changed, he burst forth with terrifying speed, instantly grabbing Godslayer by the neck.
During this process, it wasn’t that Godslayer didn’t resist, but the moment he had the conscious thought to resist, a low chant from an evil god sounded from within Lu Ran’s contract space. “Stop.”
Under this sound, all of Godslayer’s movements were halted. Lu Ran dragged Godslayer by the neck, waved his other arm, and a void rift appeared before him. Then, he took the other party into the void, escaping the Republic’s surveillance.
After seeing this, the Republic's higher-ups frowned one after another, but they weren’t too worried about Godslayer. After all, Godslayer possessed combat strength nearly invincible below Primary Divine.
“That was a void rift. This mysterious person is extremely fearsome. He at least has Intermediate Legendary combat strength!”
“But since he’s left the capital area, Godslayer no longer has restrictions. In a one-on-one situation, he should be able to resolve this quickly. He probably followed the other party into the void on purpose.”
