Chapter 29: An Evil Idea
"Leon Luster... Wait for a moment," Derisa shouted, her voice cutting through the noise as she walked briskly toward Leon.
'Fuck... Is she gonna get me jailed for one little kiss? I mean, she said I could ask for anything. Should I run?' Leon panicked, but it was too late. She was already standing in front of him — and she wasn't alone.
"He's the one I told you about," Derisa said, glancing at the old men accompanying her.
"Did you really get the Alchemist class, kid?" one of the elders asked, his gaze sharp and serious.
"Yeah...?" Leon replied, his face twisted in confusion.
"Well then, look at this." Another old man smirked and pulled a golden ball from his pocket. He pressed a button.
Zzzzzzzzzzz
Suddenly, beams of light shot from the ball, scanning Leon's face. Within seconds, the ball glowed red.
"Okay... That's all I need," the old man muttered, pocketing the orb.
"Derisa... Are you sure about this?" another elder asked, his expression skeptical.
"Yes, sir. I have to do this," Derisa said, her voice unwavering.
