Chapter 26: You Have Malakai
One of the omega nurses within the hospital that Eve had just stepped into approached her with a face filled with polite smiles.
She bowed and straightened up. "Please follow me this way, Mrs. Basti."
Eve nodded and followed behind her as they used the elevator to reach the second floor of the building. The door chimed open, and they stepped out, making their way towards the eye exam room.
"He’ll come see you shortly," the omega told her.
She nodded and stepped into the room, walking over to take her seat. She waited patiently and after a few short minutes, the door pushed open and a doctor, broad and tall stepped inside.
He was an alpha and he’d made his way over to her, a soft smile on his face. "Good to see you again, Ms."
"Hello." Eve returned a polite smile. "You said they were ready?"
"Yes." The doctor nodded and made his way over to the cabinet in the room. He picked out the small box with Eve’s name on it, then he proceeded back to her and slipped on his gloves.
"You should be able to see properly up close with it," he said as he began to help her put it in while demonstrating how she should do it.
"It wouldn’t affect my wolf’s eyes, would it?" Eve inquired.
The doctor chuckled. "No. It’s similar to wearing glasses, but omegas like you and even betas who are not fans of glasses, choose this instead. You have nothing to worry about, your wolf can switch easily if it wants to. The contacts won’t get in the way, if there is anything it will affect, it’s the color of your wolf’s eyes."
Eve furrowed her brows.
