The Alpha's Villainess Wife

Chapter 25: All Mine, To Fix

They were back on the road, driving back home and every now and then, Eve would glance at Malakai.

The man held a blank look on his face and she wasn’t sure why. Was he angry? He couldn’t be right?

Malakai reached down with his hand and pushed a button in his car. The roof of the car slowly but steadily opened, leaving the entire top of the car gone. The cold night breeze blew against them and Eve’s hair fluttered rapidly, her eyes rising to the dark sky filled with stars.

"Are you angry?" she asked.

He glanced at her. "Why do you think so?"

"You haven’t said a word."

The man looked at her, and if she didn’t know better, she would think he was trying to search for something out of her.

"Do you care for Patro?"

"What?" She furrowed her brows, blinking subconsciously.

"Do you love him?"

"What? No!" She seemed taken aback that he would even assume that. "Maybe in the beginning because well, he was my mate. But I couldn’t continue, not when It was hard to endure him. So no, I don’t love Patro!" she bit out. The thought alone—of ever loving a man like that, disgusted her.

How could she feel a thing for someone she was going to destroy—someone she would see to the end of him?
