Today marked the entrance exam for Everbright Academy, the most prestigious Senior Academy in Regalia City.
Only those aged 18 to 20 were eligible to apply. Unlike the Junior Academies—which accepted students between 14 to 18 and focused on the fundamentals of sigils, mana theory, and history—Senior Academies offered something else entirely.
Combat, Ruin exploration and Survival training.
This was higher learning for those who aimed not just to study but to survive.
Everbright didn’t believe in handholding. Once enrolled, students were free to do as they pleased—so long as they didn’t break the academy’s rules.
But if someone failed to meet expectations or couldn’t keep up with the rigorous schedule, they wouldn’t just be asked to leave. They’d be thrown out, no matter who they were.
This year, however, was different.
Special. Dangerous. Historic.
Because for the first time in decades, students from three Great Families were enrolling together.
A few years ago, during the infamous Seven Families Gathering, one name had shaken the hierarchy—Alvida Vaelcrest.
