Chapter 2829: The Valley Altar
Carson Flores hesitated briefly, temporarily putting down the thought of taking action.
Even if he captured the Leap Void Beast, they would still need a way to leave, and once a fight breaks out, it will inevitably attract the others in the Mist World. The current situation is unclear; this is clearly not a wise move.
Since he’s in here now, leaving immediately is not an option, so it’s best to first scout the surroundings and then make a decision.
Since the Leap Void Beast has appeared, capturing it sooner or later makes no difference; it can’t escape anyway.
The Leap Void Beast landed on the ground, turning around to search the surroundings.
Two figures flashed through the thin mist; they hovered in midair, their eyes sharp like lightning, their Divine Sense sweeping over the surroundings like tides.
They were tall and slender, wearing black robes with hoods, and the hoods clearly had fluctuations of magic, obscuring their faces making it difficult to see clearly.
"There was just a fluctuation; did someone intrude?"
"Let’s search. If someone’s here, we can just use them to feed the Leap Void Beast."
The two men exchanged a few words, and their appearances disappeared again, apparently searching nearby.
Carson Flores listened to the two men’s strange accents, puzzled in his heart. What kind of people would stir trouble in the desolate Red River Mountains?
The methods of the Mist World are very mysterious, definitely not something a regular Immortal can accomplish.
The two men searched for a while but didn’t find anything, so they met up again.
"Strange, there was clearly a fluctuation just now, how come there’s no one?"
"Could someone be hiding?"

"But there was indeed a fluctuation just now, could it be a Demonic Beast accidentally wandering in?"

The two men and one beast flew and ran through the forest, searching extensively, but ultimately found nothing.

The two men and one beast quickly vanished into the thin mist, moving in the direction of the river valley.
Carson Flores thought for a moment, first storing Theo, then using Escape Technique to head towards the river valley.
Carson Flores combined Earth Escape and Wood Escape, moving silently and invisibly like a phantom. Quickly, he passed through the forest, crossed the mountain, and reached the cliff above the river valley.
Carson Flores stealthily entered a large tree by the cliffside, glanced downward, and was immediately shocked.
In the middle of the river valley’s open area, a tall altar had been built.
The altar was several hundred meters high, constructed entirely of expensive metals, each bearing different patterns resembling Formation. Many people were busy on the altar, all wearing black robes and hoods, hiding their faces and appearing exceptionally mysterious.
An altar with Formation?
So many Black Robed Men, I wonder what their identity is, so secretive.
Carson Flores’s gaze fell upon the altar, theorizing about its purpose.
Not far below the altar was a camp, with many resting Black Robed Men inside, while at the camp’s edge there were several Leap Void Beasts chained like guard dogs.
This setup is impressive!
Carson Flores’s eyes settled on the nearly completed altar, where a Bronze Bell hovered, emitting gray light that transformed into countless pieces of mist, shrouding the area.
Is this bell the core of the Mist World?
Carson Flores eyed the bell, plotting in his mind. If that bell were attacked, would the Mist World collapse?
Even if it doesn’t collapse, it should expose some flaws for me to escape, right?
The man previously only managed to escape because of a fissure appearing in the Mist World.
These Black Robed Men seem strong, possibly many Great Land Prime Immortals; if a fight breaks out, relying on Theo alone might not suppress them all.
Carson Flores thought carefully and devised a plan.
Charging in directly is clearly not the right approach. Why not find an opportunity to blend in and act when the time is ripe?
Carson Flores quietly hid using Escape Technique, awaiting the right moment.
Soon, an opportunity emerged.
A Black Robed Man leisurely walked out of the camp, heading towards a location piled with various materials, an area quite secluded from others.
He’s the one!
Carson Flores activated his Escape Technique, moved swiftly, arriving first at the material site. He silently released Theo, and hidden together, they were as unnoticed as stones.
The Black Robed Man entered the material site. Just as he chose his materials and prepared to leave, Theo silently launched an attack.
