Chapter 319: Night Rain
The night rain fell heavily. Elizabeth hurried down the alley, catching the faint sound of panicked cries from deeper within.
Her heart skipped a beat, and she broke into a run.
Just moments ago, Elizabeth had been at the Red Rain house. Suddenly, a strange sensation washed over her through the shared vow. It was as if something had happened to Lorna; she could almost feel her pain.
Filled with unease, she relied on this inexplicable connection, immediately grabbing Judy and a few others to rush in this direction.
To her surprise, the path led them straight to the Bantian Apartment, where Senior Brother Angel rented his place.
Elizabeth knew of the place, though she had never been here before.
Taking the lead as they sprinted down the cold, dilapidated alley, she soon spotted them. Up ahead, beside a few potted plants, a trash can, a pile of clutter, and a glowing neon sign, Senior Brother Angel sat on the ground, cradling Lorna. An old man stood nearby.
She could see the blood spreading through the rainwater on the ground. Her ears buzzed; her heart felt as if it had taken a heavy blow.
The pain from the shared vow intensified. Lorna was fading away, just like the falling night rain...
