In the hazy night, the neon sign above the entrance to the Fishpond izakaya flickered erratically. The wind rustled the worn doorway curtains, and a stray cat remained fast asleep on an air conditioning unit by the alley.

After more than twenty days, they had finally left the Yakuza Headquarters, quietly making their way from Renqing Street back to Shuhui Street.
