The fine, misty rain cooled her face, but Elizabeth's heart pounded with excitement.
Although Angel's Transcendent Level seemed lower than hers, he was clearly a senior member with a higher standing in the Sharers Organization. He had known about her, but she had known nothing about him.
"Angel, do you call the master 'Master' too?" she asked, wondering if he was only using the title for her sake.
The Neural Blood-Silk Threads extending from Gu He's black hair toward her red hair practically shrank back in fright.
'Holy crap,' he thought. He had hastily patched up almost every loophole, but he had missed this one entirely.
"Master" was a nickname coined by Goose, not how the master referred to himself.
"Not exactly," Gu He said earnestly, beating Sword Treasure to the punch. "That entity introduced you like that. I call him Master, which is more or less the same thing. Master asked me to look after you a bit."
Elizabeth understood. That meant she and Angel were fellow disciples.
"Then the Food-Making Eccentric..." she asked, burning with curiosity even though she knew this was a terrible time to chat.
