Beyond its massive lawns, forests, and lakeside views, the Eden Golf Course also featured club facilities.
After the match ended, Elizabeth visited the club's locker room. She swapped her sportswear for an orange trench coat and flared pants, then led Judy and the others to a lakeside pavilion for her appointment.
The wooden pavilion boasted simple, classic lines, and a waiter in a black suit stood by with a tray of drinks.
Laughter already filled the pavilion. Sid's group had arrived early. Aside from the mind-reading man, a few other young people had come to watch the fun. While not in the overdrive tier, they were all blood-eaters. Sid kept no defective goods by her side.
"Liz!" Sid called out the moment she saw Elizabeth approaching. "That was a wonderful match."
