Chapter 178: Phantom of the Rainy Night
"Old Man Bantian, this is Gu He's friend. She's drunk, so we're taking her up to sleep it off."
"Uh, actually, she was Lorna's friend first..."
In the alleyway outside Bantian Apartments, Gu He and Lorna walked past the entrance, dragging an unconscious Pandora between them.
Mr. Bantian glanced over from behind the cash register. He could easily see the handcuffs on the unconscious woman's wrists, along with her pale gold top and carrot pants completely soaked from the rain. The old man merely told them, "Have fun."
"Will do." Lorna shot Gu He a look. Clearly, even dismembering a corpse in here wouldn't raise any eyebrows.
The two of them hauled Pandora up the stairs, dragging her all the way to a room on the third floor.
Fortunately, no one else was around, saving them the need for explanations. If Sakai Huaqing had been here, she would have been terrified.
Pandora lay unconscious on the floor of the large tatami room. Lorna removed her Hollowed-Out Metal Mask and the golden top, leaving her in a white T-shirt. They then propped her up in a chair.
Lorna grabbed a bundle of electrical wires and tied her up haphazardly. She had already borrowed a Wondrous Item Helmet from the Vivian sisters. This triangular, lead-crafted helmet blocked a Programmer's neural signals, making it perfectly suited for prisoners.
