Chapter 149: Luxurious Legion
The group hung out at the Good Luck Circus Camp until that afternoon. After buying some Eastern food, herbs, and essential oils, and packing up the prizes they'd won from the games, they set off back to the Revival Pioneer Society Camp.
They returned around dusk. Vehicles belonging to the ranger squads were already packed into the parking lot at the edge of the camp. The returning teams brought both good news and bad.
The tribes and circuses they had invited were already vetted by the two troupe leaders. They were all old friends who knew each other well, so every returning squad brought the good news: everyone had agreed to join.
The bad news was that multiple Wilderness Mobile Task Forces had left traces of impending sweep operations.
This only strengthened the wilderness folks' resolve to fight back.
Gu He, Lorna, and Kasei Sakai walked over to the Fishpond crowd chatting by an RV. Chiba-Gibson was there, too.
"There's a situation we need to take seriously," Lorna said, telling Lindsey about the Opportunistic Species they had encountered on the road. "It's not very peaceful around here."
"An Opportunistic Species..." Lindsey's lips curled into a smile. "How interesting."
"Sey, are you thinking..." Shukichi Sakai sobered up instantly. "Haha, brilliant idea!"
