A line of riot police stood barricading the street directly in front of the stage.
Night rain pelted their faces. The glare of roadside neon signs caught the fierce, chilling flash of her blade. Her red hair whipped through the air, and behind her surged a roaring human tide, pressing forward just as fiercely.
"Everyone fall back immediately!" Eliza Cotton's cold, furious voice rang out. "Stop right there!"
