A "Closed" sign hung on the front door of the Fishpond izakaya. Standing by the bar, Lindsey listened to Gu He's intelligence report, curled his lips into a smile, and said, "Human potential comes out under pressure. This little fox is getting on the right track. She's not so stupid after all."
Gu He was beginning to understand why Lorna and Sakai Huaqing never wanted to see Lindsey smile like that.
Because it meant he was about to stir up trouble again.
"Keep messing around," Fan Debao remarked coldly. "Messing around with a blood eater. I've truly lived long enough to see it all."
Ayane Kumiko was pondering this new information. "According to the street trackers, that convoy of Metropolitan Police Department transports didn't leave the Kabukicho area last night. They definitely headed toward the factory district, which is why the idea of a rescue operation came up.
"If they had gone to the industrial zone, there'd be nothing we could do. So there really is a Slave-Rearing Domain over there."
There weren't many factories in the Kabukicho area, but a few existed. Some corporate workers took the tram to commute there every day.
Although it couldn't compare to the two major industrial zones, there were still a lot of factory buildings in that sector. Without a precise target address, a rescue would be incredibly difficult—they would quickly be swarmed by Santou's security personnel and the Metropolitan Police Department's lapdogs.
