Chapter 327: Battle With A General
"What do you mean we’re under attack?" the host frowned and released his spiritual senses to scan the entire palace.
But what he saw shocked and confused him—creatures he had never seen before in his entire life were invading.
Strange beasts with glowing black and purple skin and bizarre faces.
"Corruption Beasts? But I’ve never seen any Corruption Beast like this before..." the host, whose name was Velkan, thought to himself.
Then he turned and looked at Rynor, who also seemed confused. It was clear he wasn’t involved in this attack either.
"We’ll talk later, Mr. Rynor. Right now, I have something else to deal with," he said with a smile and immediately ordered all the bandits to be on high alert and eliminate the intruders.
Rynor simply nodded and got ready to leave. He had no intention of getting involved in whatever this situation was—regarding the weapon... he would return for it later.
Seeing Velkan leave the palace hall, he let out a sigh and looked up. The ceiling was made entirely of glass, and escaping through it would be easy.
He looked toward the entrance of the palace once more to make sure the host had really left, and once he was certain, he took off into the air, aiming for the glass above.
However, suddenly a deep and powerful aura isolated the palace and slammed him into the ground just as he was about to break through the ceiling.
"Damn it! Which bastard did that?!" he growled as he quickly stood back up.
Not a single scratch had been left on his body.
