Chapter 326: True Identity
"Don’t worry, the weapon’s not complete yet... What did you think they were transporting it for? It was being moved so the final part of its construction could be completed," Serys said lazily.
If the weapon had been completed, even she wouldn’t have agreed to return and try to retrieve it. Naturally, the bandits weren’t stupid and could’ve used the weapon against them.
But fortunately, the weapon wasn’t usable yet, and the final part had to be completed by the Everlight Moon guild before it could function.
Daniel let out a sigh of relief. Luckily, this wasn’t something he had to worry about—at least not for now.
At that moment, Elarion suddenly established a mental link with him and reported that Mr. Goat had exited his VIP room.
"It’s time to go. We need to get ready to take the weapon back. Just make sure not to face that Mr. Goat on your own—you can’t handle him alone. Don’t worry about the bandits," he warned Serys.
She nodded, and then the two of them exited the VIP room together. The only way out was through the way they came here—there was no other exit to anywhere else.
Still, Daniel wasn’t worried. The weapon wasn’t going to be delivered here anyway.
After that, they left the auction house but didn’t return to the palace. They just headed toward the location Elarion had told him about.
When they arrived, they both frowned a bit. This place was actually another palace—one that was heavily guarded.
"This might be trouble," Serys said as she looked at Daniel.
"Don’t worry. Worst case, we just take the weapon and run. We can always look for other ways to uncover the spy’s identity later," he said.
