In the morning, after waking up, Daniel took a bath, had breakfast in the inn’s bar, and returned to his room to wait for Evangelin.
His instincts told him that today would be a troublesome day, so he also gave his Fallen ones the order to be on standby in case anything happened—they needed to be able to react quickly to any problem.
Luckily, he didn’t have to wait long. A knock on the door pulled him out of his thoughts.
"You ready to go?" When Daniel opened the door, he froze at the sight of the person standing in front of him.
He was stunned by Evangelin’s beauty. She had been beautiful last night too, but today, because of the elegant clothes she wore and the way she had done her hair, her beauty stood out even more.
"What are you staring at?" Evangelin asked, feeling his gaze.
"At your beauty," Daniel replied without any shame.
"..."
"Let’s go." Evangelin blushed and quickly headed downstairs to the inn’s ground floor.
Daniel chuckled and followed her. The two of them left the inn and started walking toward the Holy Market.
"Anyway, can I ask why your eyes are that color? Black and gold?" Evangelin asked him as they walked.
