Chapter 197: Plans Of Players
While Daniel was asleep, in the deepest and most hidden part of the Holy City, a large number of players had gathered.
Most of them were standing, while the strongest ones were seated around a table. There was one empty seat—it was clear they were waiting for someone.
"I didn’t expect this floor to be a group mission," said one of the seated players, a young man with long red hair.
"That’s how the Tower is. You can never predict what the next floor will be like," replied another young man with blue hair who had his eyes closed to calm his mind.
"Just out of curiosity... is your mission also to fulfill the Paragon’s request successfully?" asked a girl with black hair tied into bunny ears from across the table.
"Yeah... but what even is this Paragon? Why are we gathered here in the first place?" the red-haired boy asked. It was clear he was running out of patience.
And honestly, he had a point. As soon as he opened his eyes, he had found himself in a white robe, on a desert road. He had to walk for several days to get here.
And when he finally arrived, some guards told him to come here instead of going to the inn. And now, he had been stuck here with these idiots for hours.
"From what I understand, the Paragon is a possible successor to the leadership of the religion. And our mission is to complete his request successfully," the blue-haired boy answered patiently.
"Now that I think about it... any guesses on what the mission might be?" Velina—the girl with bunny ear hair—asked curiously.
Since they had arrived, they had done nothing except introduce themselves. Some of them knew each other because they were relatively famous prodigies in the Celestial Domain.
