Eliza's presentation ended in great success.

Well, even though the king of her home country caused some trouble, it still turned out well overall. Afterward, we went around and watched the presentations in each venue, and the second day of the cultural festival ended.

"Ah, were you dutifully waiting? Aoi, you should eat too."

"Ah, yes. Well then, let's eat.”

I replied and began to eat. First, I took a sip of the soup that I was curious about. Immediately, the scent of spices and a gentle sweetness spread in my mouth. It had a flavor similar to consommé soup, but it was very profound. The softly stewed vegetables also had a nice texture.

Next, I took a bite of what seemed to be fried pork. When I put the knife in, the blade sank in with a light sound. The meat was tender, and I could easily cut it. I took a bite-sized piece with my fork.

My teeth cut through the freshly fried batter and tender meat, and the delicious flavors of meat and fat blended together in my mouth. It had a sweet and spicy seasoning, but the slight spiciness was also an accent. Also, perhaps something had been sprinkled on the meat, as I could feel a crunchy texture with each bite. The flavor wasn’t particularly strong, but the seasoning that enhanced the meat's umami created a deliciousness that didn't get boring.

"...It's really delicious. If Glenora-san started a restaurant, it would be a huge success, wouldn’t it?"

I honestly voiced my thoughts. Then, Glenora laughed as she patted my back.

"That's a very welcome compliment. Should I add some sake?"

"N-no, I’m fine."

I was caught off guard and patted on the back, so I couldn’t breathe for a moment. Even if Glenora, who is large, only meant it lightly, her strength is considerable. Perhaps she might even be stronger than Felter in a fight.

Thinking such thoughts, I enjoyed the dinner with Eliza.

Well, tomorrow is the final day of the cultural festival. Especially, the final presentation is very important for me as well. I must prepare well.
