Chapter 105: Project: Magic Academy
The morning air smelled like dew and fresh bread. Caelen stood outside the townhall, sipping from a clay cup as Zira approached, her cloak brushing lightly in the breeze.
"We need a place to train magic properly," she said, watching a goblin kid attempt to throw a fireball, only to nearly set a tree ablaze.
"Yeah," Caelen sighed. "I was thinking the same."
They walked through the village, now bustling with over a thousand people. Some trained with swords, others harvested crops. The guild was crowded, and kids ran around laughing. Magic users were few, but growing steadily. Mostly self-taught. And dangerous.
"I'll build a school," Caelen said finally. "No—a real academy. A place where anyone with potential can learn magic safely."
Zira raised a brow. "A magic academy?"
Caelen nodded. "Yup. Theory, practice, mana control. Even alchemy later. We'll make it formal—something this world clearly lacks."
Later that afternoon, Caelen gathered the core villagers: Zira, Garin, Dorgrim, Borin, Elira, and Ryen. They sat in a wide circle inside the townhall.
"I want to build a magic academy," Caelen said simply.
Elira's eyes widened. "You mean... a place to teach it properly?"
"Yes," Caelen replied. "And to avoid people blowing their arms off by accident."
