Chapter 482: 482: Doubts
Chapter 482: Chapter 482: Doubts
Su Lan slapped Jin Haidong to the ground.
“Why isn’t he paralyzed?” Tang Chuxia complained irritably.
There were four of them, three were drugged, so why was Jin Haidong just fine?
“Sister Su, aren’t you a bit biased? Or is Jin Haidong your little lover? Did you go easy on him?”
Tang Chuxia ranted and raved, irritating Su Lan so much her scalp tingled.
“Xiaxia, my darling, if you keep spouting nonsense, I won’t mind doing something to your tongue!”
Tang Chuxia immediately shut her mouth, but still murmured through her nose, “Ah, Sister Su, don’t get so worked up, I was just complaining a bit!”
In Yang Yingjie’s eyes, there was nothing but admiration for Tang Chuxia.
For a woman to remain so calm at a time like this was not something ordinary people could do.
Tang Chuxia, however, didn’t think it was a big deal, as she was quite skilled at psychological tactics.
But when Jin Haidong regained consciousness, Tang Chuxia curiously asked, “Sister Su, did you capture the wrong person? According to your logic of nabbing someone, shouldn’t Tang Wanqiu be the most likely to be involved with the other three? Taking me doesn’t seem logical!”
Tang Chuxia firmly believed her analysis was correct, but Su Lan, who had a short temper, swore, “Can you shut up? How can a young lady talk so much?”
Tang Chuxia smacked her lips, “Sister Su, you just drew about six hundred milliliters of my blood, I’m thirsty, can I have some water?”
That really made Su Lan angry.
What was all this about?
She’d presented herself as so ferocious, so why couldn’t she seem trustworthy in front of Tang Chuxia?
It troubled her.
The feeling was awful.
She glared at Tang Chuxia, and if looks could kill, hers would have indeed been deadly at that moment.
Tang Chuxia couldn’t move, but she could still speak.
“Sister Su, let’s look at the long term, hmm? You can’t possibly drain all my blood in one go, you’ll run out, so thinking of a long-term cooperation, how about giving me a bit more water?”
Yang Yingjie admired her words.
She was like a warrior among women, having so much blood taken yet still talking so much, was she even human?
But it seemed that Su Lan really didn’t want Tang Chuxia to die just yet, of course, she would give her water to drink, even adding some brown sugar to it.
After a blood draw, you naturally need some sugar water.
Tang Chuxia was satisfied, even smacking her lips and saying, “It’s a bit bland though, Sister Su, put more sugar in next time, otherwise, I definitely won’t be able to produce much blood!”
Su Lan bellowed, “Tang Chuxia, you’re my pawn right now, how dare you make demands?”
Yet Tang Chuxia went, “Wife? Sister Su, so you’re into women! Although I don’t have any particular views on lesbians, if you’re going to mess with my life, I could play along a bit, Lady Official, I still want some sugar water!”
Her sudden change of address completely baffled Su Lan.
She wondered if she had brought back a fake, otherwise why would Tang Chuxia say such disgusting things?
Lady Official, what the hell was that?
Especially since Yang Yingjie curiously asked, a bit oddly, “What does lesbian mean?”
It was only then that Tang Chuxia oh-ed and said, “I forgot you guys probably don’t know, it’s like this, get it?” She put two fingers together.
Yang Yingjie shook his head; he really didn’t know.
But Su Lan knew.
Her face darkened.
“Tang Chuxia, shut up, I like men, not women!”
Su Lan’s rebuke snapped Yang Yingjie back to reality, “Lesbian means a woman likes another woman?”
Tang Chuxia gave him an approving look, “Smart, indeed fitting for a big-time secretary!”
Yang Yingjie felt a headache; he didn’t think such praise was necessary.
The trio’s conversation left Jin Haidong and Lu Qiming on the ground, confused as mud.
It seemed they weren’t in the same situation.
“Can I ask a question, are you all together?”
Lu Qiming timidly posed the question, as he couldn’t discern what was really going on.
Tang Chuxia and Yang Yingjie’s nonchalance, along with Su Lan’s bristling, made it seem they were quite familiar with each other.
Tang Chuxia turned to face Lu Qiming, “Young Master Lu, although you’re about my age, your gaze seems rather aged. How exactly did you see a near-witch like me and Sister Su as being together?”
It wasn’t that Lu Qiming was suspicious; it was just that Tang Chuxia seemed too calm in conversation with others.
Even Jin Haidong chimed in, “But you all seem to get along so well!”
Tang Chuxia rolled her eyes at him.
Your eyes must need treatment; don’t cause others to get irritated here.
Tang Chuxia, realizing all four were duped by Su Lan, couldn’t be bothered to argue with the two mud-like figures.
“Sister Su, since you’re so formidable, why pretend to be a poor widow? Is that really your thing? Were you not feeling stifled when you were handled by my Young Aunt earlier? I sense you took a bad deal here!”
Tang Chuxia resumed her verbal assault, truly exasperating Su Lan.
She really wanted to sew Tang Chuxia’s mouth shut; she talked too much.
Yang Yingjie on the side stated, “It’s not that she’s physically strong, she’s just very calculating!”
Tang Chuxia snorted, “Are you dumb? If she wasn’t strong, how could she have brought all four of us here on her own? If I’m not mistaken, she must’ve carried us here herself, right?”
Yang Yingjie fell silent.
He hadn’t expected to be so unlucky.
But that wasn’t the most important thing; the strangest part was Su Lan not stopping their conversation.
Apparently, Su Lan wasn’t worried about them exchanging information.
However, all four were as immobile as mud, which Su Lan was confident about.
She looked at the chatting group with some dissatisfaction, yet still instructed, “Wait a little longer, once everyone’s here, we’ll start! Chat a while longer!”
Su Lan walked away, leaving just like that.
Completely unconcerned about the four people behind her, none of whom were tied up!
Tang Chuxia even doubted whether Su Lan had some issues with her intelligence.
“How can she be so confident to leave us be here?”
Jin Haidong quietly asked after Su Lan left.
Tang Chuxia’s response was straightforward, “You can’t move right now, that’s her confidence!”
Jin Haidong immediately shrank back; the fact was, he truly couldn’t move.
What was even more despairing was that Jin Haidong had no idea why he was here.
“By the way, why were you captured here?”
Lu Qiming, still possessing some smarts, asked a critical question.
Yang Yingjie shook his head, “Can’t find the reason!” He turned to Tang Chuxia, “Do you know?”
Tang Chuxia, stretching her limbs, stood up and shook her head.
