CH.778 Getting our Forces Ready, part 3
So, as I said last time, I’ll get the last cards from Pendulum Evolution now.
I was only missing 8 cards from it.
Dragonpit Magician and Dragonpulse Magician are vanilla Pendulums.
Dragonpit lets you discard a Pendulum monster to pop backrow and Dragonpulse does the same but for face up monsters.

Oafdragon Magician can return face-up Magician or Odd-Eyes Pendulum monsters from your Extra Deck to your hand. And if summoned, it does the same but from the GY.
Performapal Skullcrobat Joker searches for Performapal, Magician Pendulum, or Odd-Eyes monster on normal summon.

Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon special summons 1 of your Pendulum scales when summoned. And monsters in your opponent's possession cannot activate their effects during the Battle Phase.
Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon can detach 1 material to negate an attack and special an Odd-Eyes from the hand or GY. And when Absolute Dragon goes to the GY, you can special summon an Odd-Eyes from the extra deck.

Pendulum Call is a great searcher, getting you 2 Magician Pendulum monsters, and it even protects them until the end of your opponent’s next turn.
Time Pendulumgraph protects Spellcasters from Traps. And it lets you pop a Magician Pendulum you control, and 1 card your opponent controls. And if 1 of them wasn’t destroyed, you get to send a card from the field to the GY, which is actually really nice as it gets around targeting and destruction immunities.

But that is all I was missing from Pendulum Evolution, so onto the Card Venturer evolutions.
Alright. So the Card Venturers. Kurt, Dante and Miris.
Let's start with Kurt, as he was the most ‘simple’ of the three. He went from a Magic Swordsman into a Lightning Swordsman. He also became an Advanced Human while at it.
Not really a big change, but he did get access to the more powerful Lightning-Strike Magic. It is just Lightning Magic+ as a racial skill, but that is fine. Because that new skill also led to Kurt getting a blessing from a Lightning Spirit, and not just any lightning spirit, but Astrape herself, the superior spirit of Lightning.
Because of those boosts, he is now the most powerful of the Card Venturers when it comes to damage output. I just hope the army unit he will be with doesn’t mind a bit of rain because it will be raining lighting bolts.
Miris evolved into a Venom Centipede-folk. He also picked up the Assassin class race. I know he has decently high leveled Sneak Attack and Hiding skills, but Assassin? Well, as long as it is useful.
His poisons are now much more potent, though I’m immune to them. But they are potent enough to where even some with the Poison Resistance skill will take some damage. As long as the skill is less than level 20. Above level 20 resistance it starts to do little, but we can work on it.
Miris has also picked up skills like Sky Running for better movement, and with his assassin class race, he got access to the Lethal Strike skill. … which isn’t lethal, at least not on me. Even skills like that can’t make up for the level difference.
… and I’m not saying that Miris acquired Sky Running to impress Myrphe, but I’m also not saying that he got it for that reason. Miris has an obsession with Arachne, I think. First Sharon, but since she turned him down, he went after the next Arachne available.
Last is Dante. And I saved him for last for a reason. Because I may have gotten him a demonic contract and got him to evolve into a Cambion.
As I’ve said previously, Dante has wanted wings and the ability to fly since day 1. He did pick up Mana Flight some time ago, but since I’m making demon summoning more acceptable, I decided I could have Dante become a Cambion.
Getting a demon who agreed to turn him into a Cambion was no problem. Because I just asked Ibu to do it. Sure asking the Demon God for that might seem like overkill, but it is effective.
Sadly there was no ‘greater Cambion’ race or anything like that, but Dante did get Demonic Magic and Demonic Might. And since I manipulated his evolution a bit, he naturally has wings now, and he even gained the Winged Flight skill with his evolution.
Maybe I’ll next look into the Cambion race and see if a superior version with stronger Demonic skills could be possible. Or maybe I’ll look at the Draconic races and skills instead. Or I can double up, since those are basically the same, just depending on where you get your ‘blessing’ from.
Now, one more evolution. The harvests and replanting of the CropFields are done, so time for Cailie to evolve.

So, there you have it. … but you probably want some explanations.
As you may have noticed, Cailie took full advantage of Manamorphic Body. Outside of myself, she has the most racial skills of anyone on HomeBase. While they might be simple ones, getting them isn’t as simple as it might seem.
But Cailie is a half-spirit, and spirits can change her appearance since they are made of mana. Cailie isn’t since she has a physical body, but Manamorphic Body basically gave her back that ability.
She is also just a natural with the skill. She has tried to explain how she obtained Enhanced Vision and Enhanced Hearing to Alice and Unika, but neither of them got it. Unika managed to get the Enhanced Olfactory skill, but that is because she can make those tiny Light foxes.
Now the other Manamorphic Body aren’t that crazy. Cailie has always been good with Magical Arms, so she got Multi-Armed relatively easily. No she doesn’t actually have multiple arms, as you may have realized if you looked at her race.
Regeneration I already spoke about with Alice. It is a bit of a pain to get, but it is worth it.
Gallop she got because she wanted legs, but she can’t exactly remove her tail. So making four legs became the better option, and while running around with them, she got the Gallop skill. Despite the fact that her legs were more human legs than horse hooves.
And both Thermal Fluctuation Resistance and Hardened Scales are something Cailie picked up with ease. She already has scales naturally, so she only needed to reinforce them, and she is also used to swimming in different temperature waters, so that wasn’t a big deal either.
As for her two new unique-racials, Songs from the Wind allows her songs to carry a lot further, increasing the AoE.
Whispers in the Winds is a spying skill, basically like Enhanced Hearing on steroids. She can hear things from … very far away with the combination of the two skills. She can even hear things through walls and such. Even sound isolated walls. It is quite the cheat skill, but it is a unique skill, so it checks out.
She can also send whisper messages to anyone anywhere ‘near’ her. Again, questionable term. She already has a range of more than 30 kilometers. 18.5 miles. And that is with the skill at level 1! When it is at level 100, she can probably talk to anyone anywhere on this planet. 2Example footnote related to the author notes.
