CH.760 Raging Tempest
Before the sphere field tournament starts, I’ll have to deal with one more fissure.
Which is kind of a good thing. That means I shouldn’t get any fissures during the tournament. Hopefully.
It does pain me that I failed to fully complete the Numeron Code. If I had, I could just fix the barrier permanently. Or I could have the Numeron Dragon do it by letting it use the power of the Code. But can’t have everything because the Numbers want to be difficult.
… Okay, they aren’t that bad. Archive has limits, and sadly I just don’t remember any more Number cards. The rest were probably printed after I was isekaid, and never appeared in the anime or manga.
Sadly this set won’t bring me any closer to completing it. At least if my memory is as good as I think it is.
Now, my anti-fissure force of the day was Alice and just Alice. She wanted to test out a few spells from the book I gave her for her birthday. And she wanted live targets for them, so she ‘volunteered’ to help me. Aka. she said she was going to do it and didn’t accept any arguments. Not that I’m going to tell her no, but Unika also wanted to come. And Wilma was somewhat tempted to test out her new Xyz Trains, since she now has a decent lineup of monsters that can be used to summon Gustav Max; Super Dora; Flying Launcher and Gustav Rocket.

Wilma also entered the Sphere Field tournament with a deck focused on the aforementioned cards. And on top of them, she is running the ‘custom’ Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Juggernaut Liebe. I know it is a real card, I remember it came out the year I was transported here.

She also made some sort of custom CXyz rank 11 monster, I think. Or was it a rank 12? I know she made a CXyz, but I don’t honestly remember if it was something you’d summon on top of Gustav Max or Juggernaut Liebe. Or maybe she made one for each? And of course there is the Number C81 I designed.
Also, for ‘balance’ reasons, Janina approved her custom cards. I don’t want another Aromatic World Tree situation.

Anyway. Let's get the tournament out of my mind for a bit and actually focus on the fissure. Not that I have a lot to focus on. Alice is just toying with the three S-ranks that showed up and Exodia is almost done with the fissure.
So soon enough, we were done. Alice and I did a bit of cleanup, since we kind of messed up a road. Then I teleported us back to HomeBase.
And now to the new set. Raging Tempest. I’d ask you to RATE this set, but you’d probably rate it Raging out of Tempest. … the joke is that the set code is RATE. I know it is bad, but I’m not that creative today. Some might say I never am, but I can get my wives to laugh at my jokes, so I must be doing something correctly.
Alright, I’ll get to the packs.

RATE 1
Machine Angel Absolute Ritual; Wightprincess; Symphonic Warrior Guitaar; Lightsworn Judgment; Shinobird Salvation; Super Quantal Alphan Spike; Hebo, Lord of the River; Delta The Magnet Warrior; Flower Cardian Lightflare
[collapse]
Machine Angel Absolute Ritual is a decent upgrade to the OG, since you can shuffle the tributes from the GY into the deck. I guess it is more of an alternative/complimenting card than a real replacement, but having it is nice.
Wightprincess is good for the Skullservant deck, but I’ve still yet to use them.
Symphonic Warrior Guitaar can special summon a Symphonic Warrior either from the deck or GY, depending on if it is a scale or a monster.
Lightsworn Judgment is just meant to be milled, and when you mill it, you get to add a Judgment Dragon to hand.
Shinobird Salvation is meh Spirit support.
Super Quantal Alphan Spike shuffles everything your opponent controls to the hand. But they then get to special summon a monster from the extra deck, ignoring conditions. It also has a GY effect that lets you activate the Super Quant Field Spell from the deck.
Hebo, Lord of the River makes something else into a Spirit monster for a turn, so it is an interesting way of getting rid of a problematic monster. … except for the part where it targets, so it is just a worse Compulse.
Delta The Magnet Warrior lets you special summon Valkyrion ignoring summoning conditions.
And Flower Cardian Lightflare has 5k attack, can negate Spells and Traps, and negates the effects of monsters that battle any Flower Cardian monsters. It is just a bit challenging to summon usually, but it really is a powerful monster.

Shiranui Style Samsara; Cipher Spectrum; Terminal World NEXT; Zoodiac Combo; Shinobird Crow; Super Soldier Synthesis; Lightsworn Judgment; SPYRAL MISSION - Recapture; Chaos Ancient Gear Giant
[collapse]
Shiranui Style Samsara is okay. Taking no damage for a turn is nice, as is shuffling banished Zombies into the deck. And you know, you also get to draw a card.
Cipher Spectrum is interesting and I might make a custom version of it for my boss deck.
Terminal World NEXT is way too situational, and not even all that good.
Zoodiac Combo is pretty cool, being able to attach a Zoodiac monster from the deck to a Zoodiac Xyz. And it means I’m getting the Zoodiacs. Even the GY effect of banish this to shuffle back 5 Zoodiacs and then draw a card is nice. Sadly it is a Trap and not a Quick-Play Spell, but you can’t have it all.
Shinobird Crow is just straight up bad. You need to discard a Spirit for this thing to have any stats. And since it is a Spirit monster, you lose those stats when it returns to hand. And you also need to play Spirits!
Super Soldier Synthesis is cool because you can use a monster from the deck as a tribute. But you still need 1 in the hand, they must equal 8 and you have to use 1 Light and 1 Dark monster.
SPYRAL MISSION - Recapture can take control of an opposing monster.
And Chaos Ancient Gear Giant is a giant beater who is immune to Spells and Traps, and prevents effect activation during the battle phase. And it can attack everything. So yeah, it is great. Especially if I need to deal with a ton of weak monsters.

Shinobird Crane; Metrognome; Void Feast; Rocket Hand; Recardination; Purushaddoll Aeon; Shinobird Salvation; Spiritual Beast Tamer Winda; Cyber Angel Natasha
[collapse]
Shinobird Crane lets you draw a card when you summon a Spirit monster. … but it itself is a spirit monster.
Metrognome is just a situational joke. Sure it can gain some decent attack and can attack directly, but then you have to destroy the Pen Scales that allow you to do that.
Void Feast special summons up to 3 Infernoid monsters from the deck. So yeah it is good.
Rocket Hand is a situational equip trap. I honestly have better equip cards.
Recardination adds a Flower Cardian from the GY to the hand and then you special summon a Flower Cardian. And it can also reveal stuff and add a Spell to your hand.
Purushaddoll Aeon gives a Shadoll monster a 1000/1000 boost for the turn, and even turns it face down during the end phase. But you have to send a Shadoll from hand to GY for it. Which is fine, Shadolls have effects when they go to the GY by card effect, but I wish it did more since it needs a ‘discard’.
If Spiritual Beast Tamer Winda is destroyed, you get to special summon a Ritual Beast from deck or extra deck, ignoring summoning conditions.
Cyber Angel Natasha is pretty good. It can negate attacks, heal and even take control of an opposing monster.

Terminal World NEXT; Shinobird Crane; Apprentice Piper; Yokotuner; Lightsworn Judgment; Super Soldier Synthesis; Metrognome; SPYRAL MISSION - Recapture; True King Lithosagym, the Disaster
[collapse]
Apprentice Piper lets you special summon stuff from the hand.
Yokotuner special summons a Tuner from the GY.
True King Lithosagym, the Disaster specials itself and banishes stuff from the opponent’s extra deck.

Performapal Handstandaccoon; Shinobird Crow; Flower Cardian Cherry Blossom with Curtain; Zoodiac Combo; Shiranui Style Samsara; Rocket Hand; Miscellaneousaurus; Zoodiac Boarbow; Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon
[collapse]
Performapal Handstandaccoon returns stuff to hand. Mainly your own stuff. And then you can’t even activate that thing for the rest of the turn.
Flower Cardian Cherry Blossom with Curtain reveals itself, you draw a card, if it is a Flower Cardian monster, special summon Cherry Blossom with Curtain.
Miscellaneousaurus can make Dinosaurs unaffected by opponent’s stuff, and it can banish itself plus 1 other Dinosaur to special a Dinosaur from the deck.
Zoodiac Boarbow does the usual Zoodiac Xyz thing of being able to be summoned on top of any Zoodiac monster and gaining attack equal to the combined original attack of all Zoodiac monsters it has as material. It can attack directly, and if it does when it has 12 or more materials, you send everything from your opponent’s hand and field to the GY.
And Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon can attack twice and destroy everything, just as long as you summon it using an Xyz monster. They really should have given it its anime effect where it first negates everything and then destroys everything, but that might have been a bit too much. … okay, it probably wouldn’t have been. Summoning Raging Dragon using an Xyz monster is difficult enough to where it would have been deserved.

Ancient Gear Hunting Hound; Super Quantal Alphan Spike; Shinobird Pigeon; Metrognome; Ritual Beast Return; Symphonic Warrior Synthess; Performapal Handstandaccoon; Zoodiac Whiptail; Spiritual Beast Tamer Winda
[collapse]
Ancient Gear Hunting Hound does burn and can fusion summon.
Shinobird Pigeon returns a Spirit monster to the hand. … I don’t understand. Why would you make a card this bad?
Ritual Beast Return specials a banished or in the GY Ritual Beast.
Symphonic Warrior Synthess searches for Symphonic Warrior on summon. Can take on the name of a Symphonic Warrior in the GY. And can banish itself to special summon a banished Symphonic Warrior.
Zoodiac Whiptail can equip itself to a Beast-Xyz from your hand or field. And when it is equipped, the Xyz gains an effect of banishing whatever it battled after damage calc.

Shinobird's Calling; Cyber Tutubon; Lightsworn Judgment; Shinobird Crow; Cipher Etranger; Machine Angel Absolute Ritual; Shinobird Pigeon; Subterror Nemesis Defender; Cyber Angel Natasha
[collapse]
Shinobird's Calling is just a Ritual Spell, but you can banish Spirit monsters as the cost.
Cyber Tutubon can special itself by tributing a Warrior or a Fairy. And if it is tributed for a Ritual summon, you get to recover a Ritual Spell from the GY.
Cipher Etranger can attach itself to a Cipher Xyz monster as a material. And when sent to the GY, you get to search for a Cipher Spell or Trap.
Subterror Nemesis Defender can redirect targeting effects, and attacks.

Lightsworn Judgment; Cipher Etranger; Shinobird Crow; Super Soldier Synthesis; Ancient Gear Hunting Hound; Ancient Gear Howitzer; Zoodiac Bunnyblast; Subterror Cave Clash; Zoodiac Boarbow
[collapse]
Ancient Gear Howitzer does 1000 burn and special summons an Ancient Gear from the deck when destroyed.
Zoodiac Bunnyblast, when destroyed, returns Zoodiac card from the GY to hand. And if it is an Xyz material on a Beast-Xyz, that monster can negate targeting Spells.
Subterror Cave Clash boosts the attack and defense of Subterrors by 500, and when a Subterror inflicts battle damage, you can recover a Subterror card from the GY.

Zoodiac Ramram; Majespecter Gust; Speedroid Horse Stilts; Shiranui Style Samsara; Shinobird Crane; Recardination; Zoodiac Bunnyblast; Windwitch - Ice Bell; Flower Cardian Lightflare
[collapse]
Zoodiac Ramram specials a Zoodiac from the GY when it is destroyed. And if a material for a Beast-Xyz, that monster can negate targeting traps.
Majespecter Gust specials a Majespecter from one of your Pendulum zones.
Speedroid Horse Stilts specials a Speedroid from the hand on summon. And it can banish itself to Foolish a Speedroid.
Windwitch - Ice Bell specials itself onto an empty field, then specials another Windwitch from the deck. And it does 500 burn while at it.

RATE 10
Shinobird Pigeon; Ritual Beast Return; Beginning of Heaven and Earth; Symphonic Warrior Synthess; Shinobird's Calling; Eater of Millions; Miscellaneousaurus; Shinobaroness Peacock; Sea Monster of Theseus
[collapse]
Beginning of Heaven and Earth is a reveal 3, opponent randomly picks 1, you add it to hand card. But only with BLS and Gaia monsters.
Eater of Millions is really nice in the TCG, but it might be a bit too banishing happy for my use.
Shinobaroness Peacock is okay, but at the end of the turn, you return it to the hand. Sure you get two tokens, but just … not worth it.
And Sea Monster of Theseus is just a non-effect fusion that just needs 2 Tuners as material. Decent with Super Poly, but not much outside of that. I guess Instant Fusion in a Synchro deck, if you need a level 5 Tuner for something.
But that is it for this time. See you next time when the Sphere Field tournament starts.
