CH.754 Numeron Dragon
Alright. You already know what I’m doing. I’m completing the Numeron Code, and then I’m summoning the dragon who can teach me how to use it. And since I had no clue how large the dragon was going to be, I was at the HomeBase Quarry, in the middle of the Ever Forest. That way no one would see it, even if it would be massive.
I began by summoning out a bunch of level 1 monsters, and then I overlaid them into 5 copies of Number 78: Number Archive. I then had all five of them use their effects to summon random Number monsters.

… only to get 5 repeats. I mean, I have 72 out of the 99 Numbers. More if you consider all of the monsters with the same Number, mainly Utopias.
By the way, my total unique Numbers sits at 80 exactly. The 72 that are between the Numbers of 1 and 99, then the 101 to 107, and naturally I did get the Numeron Dragon.
And yes that does mean that I already got an additional ability from the Numeron Code, but I’ll go over it when I get the rest of my Numbers.
I let my Numbers get banished and tried again. Only to get the same results. 5 repeat Numbers. Again, expected. But 10 tries and all repeats isn’t fun.
So I tried again. And again. And again.
Luckily on my fourth try I actually got a new Number. Kind of.
I pulled out Number 1: Infection Buzzking. Which isn’t a real Number monster! It is a literal fake Number made by Don Thousand. At least in the anime. And unlike the Number 10X series, the fake Numbers share a Number with a real Number monster.

Despite it sharing its Number with Numeron Gate Ekam, I still retuned Infection Buzzking to the hand. Because while it doesn’t help my Numeron Code progress, it can act as the SF Number 1 for the tournament, just so I don’t need to have all of the Numeron Gates in the SF extra deck.
I then did my Number Archive process again. And again. And while I did get a few more new Numbers, something was seriously wrong.
Because the ones I got were Number 2: Ninja Shadow Mosquito; Number 3: Cicada King and Number 4: Stealth Kragen, which did also get me Stealth Kragen Spawn. And in case you didn’t know, all of them, except the Spawn, are ‘fake Numbers’ made by Don Thousand.

And no matter how many times I tried, I didn’t get a Number monster that had a Number I didn’t already have.
In terms of Numbers sharing Numbers, I did manage to get two more. Number 69: Heraldry Crest - Shatter Stream and Number 69: Heraldry Crest - Dark Matter Demolition. So 2 retrains.

But no actually new Numbers. And I had no clue why. Because in theory I should be able to get new ones!
And it isn’t like I don’t know that there are Numbers I’m missing. There literally is one in a set I have unlocked.
Yes, I checked the set list. The Dark Illusion has Number 81! I could get it with a Different Dimension Capsule right now! So why can’t this stupid ass Number Archive get me new Numbers?
… I took a deep breath to calm myself. Clearly something about the Number Archive is preventing me from getting new Numbers. And if I try to force it, I only get fake Numbers and retrains.
Alright. Let’s try something else. I have this little spell I’ve considered for a while now. Xyz Shift. With it, I can tribute an Xyz Monster to special summon a monster with the same Type, Attribute, and Rank as that monster had on the field, but with a different name. And it should come at random.

And since I know what Rank, Type and Attribute Super Dora is, I should be able to force one to appear with Xyz Shift. And I do have Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max that I can use as the ‘base’.

So I did just that, only to end up with a different monster than I expected.
Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Flying Launcher.

Alright, so I got a retrain/alternative version of Gustav Max. There can’t be that many of them, so I returned this one to the hand, summoned another Gustav Max and tried again.
This time I got Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Rocket. Another retrain/upgraded version. It is pretty cool, but it isn’t what I wanted. But again, to my Collection.

So I did what I do best. Repeat the experiment until I get the result I want. But despite trying 10 times, I only got more copies of Gustav Rocket and Flying Launcher. No Super Dora.
So clearly there is some sort of ‘limiter’ preventing me from cheating myself new Numbers. Which is strange as anything, since there was no such thing earlier when I cheated Utopia variants or the 10X monsters for myself. And they are perfectly normal Number monsters.
And now I just had to test it. So I activated a Different Dimension Capsule and used it to get me a copy of Number 81: Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Super Dora. And it activated just fine, and in 12 hours, I should have myself a Super Dora.

I don’t get it. The Capsules work. Seventh One works. Some other strategies work. But Xyz Shift and Number Archive refuse to do what I want.
But maybe a certain dragon can explain it to me.
I summoned two more copies of Number 78: Number Archive. Because if it doesn't get me new Numbers, I can at least then as a material for a summon.
I overlaid the two Numbers and used them to Xyz summon Number 100: Numeron Dragon.

I was tempted not to chant for the dragon, mainly because the Archive had pissed me off enough, but at the same time, summoning a monster like this without a chant just felt wrong.
And besides, whenever I summon one, if I don’t have a chant ready to go, one simply appears in my mind, basically demanding to be read aloud.
“The Key to the Creation of the Universe, now open the Door of Darkness, and lead us to the future with your roar! Descend, Number 100! Numeron Dragon!”
The two Number Archives combined, their bodies turning into golden light that filled all that I could see.
Like what happened the first time I summoned the Imaginary Chaos Number God, the entire forest was filled with the presence of my new God. But unlike back then, I now understood just how powerful this God was.
With Numeronius Numeronia, I simply couldn’t comprehend the might of a God. It was a crushing force that could and would end me if it wanted. But luckily it didn’t.
And the Numeron Dragon was the same. Next to it, I was an insignificant person. A Dragon God of Creation was near me, and I just had to live with the fact that I brought that creature here.
As the golden light consolidated, I saw the form of the Numeron Dragon. It was calmly flying through the air above me, but despite its massive size, it didn’t disrupt the air at all, almost like it wasn’t even real and was just an illusion.
But the pressure coming off of the monster was no illusion. It wasn’t oppressive like Numeronius Numeronia, but it would still make a lesser man kneel.
In terms of size, The Numeron Dragon was the largest monster I’d ever summoned. At least I think so? I’ve still yet to summon Number 9, but I feel like even if I did, The Numeron Dragon could be larger than the literal Star sized space station.
But back to how it was now. The Numeron Dragon appeared to be around 500 meters long. At least that is what it took up in terms of visible space. But it went beyond just the visible space and existed in dimensions I couldn’t quite comprehend yet. I know they are there but … I’m working on it, okay.
{Greetings, my new Host.} The massive dragon spoke to me in Dragonic.
“... Host? Since when did I become a host of a Dragon God?” I asked.
{Since you obtained the Numeron Code and the card that holds my essence in this world.} The Dragon answered. {I can also feel the power of Chaos emanating from your body. So you also hold the power of Numerounius.}
“I mean, I have the card. So in a way, yes.”
{So, my host. What may I do for you? You don’t seem to be in a battle.}
“True. I suppose you aren’t summoned often outside of a duel.”
{People capable of that are rare. Even Astral and his friend could only summon me in a duel.} The dragon answered. It then began to quickly shrink, getting to a more manageable size.
“Well, I guess I’ll get to the point.” I said, as the dragon began to shrink while approaching me. “I was originally going to summon you so that I could learn how to use the Numberon Code better. But now I need to know one thing first. Why can’t the Number Archive summon the Numbers I don’t already have?”
The Numeron Dragon, now no longer than 20 meters, answered.
“The Archive is just that, an Archive. It can show what you have, but doesn’t grant you additional might.” The dragon said, its voice calm and no longer echoing around the forest. “I understand that your unique power is usually capable of things like that, but it isn’t how the archive works. No. I should say it isn’t how us, the Numbers, work.”
“... then why did it work earlier? With the other Number monsters I got with ‘cheaty’ ways?” I asked.
“What are Numbers? What do they represent?” The dragon asked.
“... In the anime they were Astral’s memories. Well, the first 100 Numbers were. But that doesn’t explain how you are one of them. You predate Astral. And the Numeron Code itself.”
“Yes, I do. Though to be more accurate, my real self does. The me you see in front of you, the me you saw in the story you call Yugioh Zexal. They aren’t me. They are a small part that entered the world along with the Numeron Code. The true me is one of the 52. Gods so powerful that a simple tear from me can make a force like the Numeron Code to appear. Had the true me appeared in this world, I would have crushed it under my might, no matter how much I held back. Thus a simple avatar is all I can give.”
“... alright. Well, fuck. I don’t know what to say about that.”
After a moment of silence, the dragon began to explain things.
“You know that the Numbers are memories. This is to your advantage. You know the story of Yuma and Astral. Both the anime and the manga. Two alternative universes that hold a Numeron Code. And you can use your knowledge of that to force Numbers to appear, even if you don’t qualify otherwise. Your knowledge of the card game known as Yu-Gi-Oh also helps, as you remember most of the Number monsters. But it can only bring you so far. You don’t know every fact behind every Number.” The Dragon told me.
“The Code is alive. It wants to be complete, with all of the 100 Numbers powering it. But it doesn’t want to be just something you get for free. You must earn it. Otherwise, you will become another Don Thousand. A dark God that attempted to gain control over the Numeron Code by using fake Numbers. If you do, the Numeron Code will simply destroy the world.”
“... alright. So no forcing it to be completed. ... Can you at least guide me in how to use what I can access?”
“That, I can do.” The dragon said. “Though the Chaos side is more the area of Numeronius, so ask him about it.”
And so, I learned more about the Numeron Code with the avatar of the Dragon that shed the tear that turned into the card.
It did improve my use of the Code, increasing both the energy efficiency, as well as how powerful my abilities with the code were.
For example, my flight used to be capped at about Mach 20. Very fast, but I can exceed that speed with my flight skills now. And of course teleportation is instant. But after the Numeron Dragon showed me how it really works, I can now fly at the speed of light. Well, actually my speed is ‘only’ Mach 500,000. Which is like 57% the speed of light. But that in itself is crazy.
The only way I can even fly that fast is if I use the new ability unlocked from the Numeron Code. Thought Acceleration. If I don’t use it, I can’t keep up with that speed.
Thought Acceleration does exactly what it sounds like. It massively accelerates my ability to think and process information. I can probably do some really cool things with it, but that comes later.
The Numeron Code Soul Manipulation was alright, but I have a lot of tools for that already. Be it Fusion Techniques or Pendulum Swing, or just my own Soul Magic. But the Code can do things those can't, like literally changing the Soul Wavelength of someone's soul. You remember when I talked about that regarding Spirit Synchros, right? Yeah. Well, I can now alter that if I want. But it is dangerous, as the Soul Wavelength is the sound your soul makes. So altering it can have some very bad consequences.
I did also get better with Invisibility and Intangibility. Now I should never be spotted under any circumstances, and I can even selectively interact with the world while keeping the hiding skills active. That means I should be able to appraise the Power Structure holder without being noticed. But I don’t really need to appraise him. I’d probably learn his name and maybe his stats, but even if he is as greedy as he can be, he won’t overpower me.
