Yugioh Card Summoner

CH.725 Getting closer to perfected Time Travel

Alright. I guess I’ll start today off by updating you on the time travel experiments. I did a few again today, and no, not that one. Just a few more short hops, but this time I traveled both back and forward in time. First a few hours back and then the same amount forward. It honestly went very well, so I’m getting excited. Maybe we can do this without causing a massive timeline shift.

I also tested the new discomfort blocking spell and it worked nicely. Dark Magic, or Phantom Magic, really helped blocking all of that. It isn’t like there is none, but it is very much minor.

Also, you haven’t asked, but I know someone might be wondering. “What about the Timelords? Can’t they just move you back in time?” And the answer is yes. Well, kind of.

Both Sephylon and Metaion can time travel. But there is a problem with it. A big one. They need to be in a divine sleeve to freely time travel. Without causing damage to the dimensional barrier.

Spoiler

[collapse]

So, no problem, right? Well, at the current time it isn’t. But in the past it will be.

In case you can’t recall, the divine sleeves are made by HomeBase, not Pack Opener, and allow my God monsters to showcase more of their power. They do that by allowing my monsters to pull creation energy directly from the HomeBase Chaos God Core, instead of having to pull it from the Chaos God Dimension. It might actually still come from the Chaos God Dimension, as the amount of creation energy I have usable doesn’t go down, but it does use the link between the core and the dimension, instead of just pulling it through the dimensional barrier.

And when a God monsters pull the energy directly from the Chaos God Dimension, dimensional barriers weaken. Which is far from optimal.

So I think you realize the issue. The HomeBase core won’t be there in the past. So while Sephylon or Metaion could send me to the past, I can’t rely on them to get me back to this time. And I don’t fancy a one way trip. Not like I can just wait 1400 years or something. Though maybe I should look into a way I can Time Seal myself for that time, just in case something goes wrong and I need to rely on that to get back to this time. An eternal crystal with Time Seal installed should work.

Spoiler

[collapse]

… though then again, where would I hide myself for all that time? Because if I do have to do that, there should be a me frozen in a crystal somewhere on this continent. Unless I froze myself on the moon or something. But how would I tell my wives where to find me if I did that?

But existential questions aside, I did good work today. And that means that I get to open some packs with a clear conscience.

Now, I’ve only opened 20 packs of each of the four sets I currently have unlocked but not completed. So I think I’ll open some of each. But 10 packs of each will take a while, so I’ll only do 5 of each. I don’t want to turn this into another 66 pack opening. Well, it would only be 40, but you get the point.

We are starting off with 5 packs of Secrets of Eternity.

Spoiler

SECE 1

Pendulum Shift; Uni-Zombie; Raidraptor - Vanishing Lanius; Last Minute Cancel; Re-qliate; Raidraptor - Readiness; Gem-Knight Lapis; Deskbot 003; U.A. Blockbacker

[collapse]

U.A. Blockbacker forces a special summoned monster to defense and negates their effects.

Next pack.

Spoiler

SECE 2

Performapal Spikeagle; Morphtronic Smartfon; Raidraptor - Vanishing Lanius; Infernoid Piaty; Performapal Partnaga; Infernoid Seitsemas; Performapal Fire Mufflerlion; Infernoid Attondel; Frontline Observer

[collapse]

Nothing new here, next.

Spoiler

SECE 3

Wall of Disruption; Re-qliate; Ritual Beast Ambush; Infernoid Piaty; Superheavy Samurai Soulbeads; Performapal Call; Dragunity Divine Lance; Nephe Shaddoll Fusion; Nekroz Cycle

[collapse]

Nephe Shaddoll Fusion is decent. Attribute swap plus it acts as Poly for Shaddolls.

Next pack.

Spoiler

SECE 4

Raidraptor - Readiness; Superheavy Samurai Soulbeads; Yosenju Tsujik; Ritual Beast Ambush; Performapal Spikeagle; Explossum; Uni-Zombie; Dance Princess of the Nekroz; Malacoda, Netherlord of the Burning Abyss

[collapse]

Dance Princess of the Nekroz protects the activation of Nekroz Ritual Spells, and it gives Nekroz Ritual monsters targeting protection.

Malacoda, Netherlord of the Burning Abyss is … strange. It might feel like a random Ritual monster, but it does work decently well with Burning Abyss.

Next pack.

Spoiler

SECE 5

Raidraptor - Readiness; Performapal Call; Performapal Partnaga; Explossum; Morphtronic Smartfon; Superheavy Samurai Soulbeads; Unpossessed; U.A. Turnover Tactics; Nekroz of Gungnir

[collapse]

Nekroz of Gungnir is nice. Destruction protection is good, as is targeted destruction. 2500 attack isn’t bad either. And I like her design. … Yeah. It is because of the long red hair. Lua doesn’t want to grow her hair that long, sadly.

Now, before I change sets. Holy Goddess! I got two secret rares and the ghost rare from five packs! That is some insane luck. Hopefully that keeps up. … let’s be honest, it won’t. But I can dream.

Next set is Crossed Souls.

Spoiler

CROS 1

Shaddoll Zefracore; Raidraptor - Mimicry Lanius; Putrid Pudding Body Buddies; Performapal Pinch Helper; Statue of Anguish Pattern; Frightfur Factory; Primitive Butterfly; Ritual Beast Tamer Zeframpilica; Sea Dragoons of Draconia

[collapse]

Sea Dragoons of Draconia is her to join the Sky Dragoons of Draconia. It lets you special a normal monster from the hand when a monster is destroyed by battle. So not something I really need.

Next pack.

Spoiler

CROS 2

Yosenju Kodam; Fluffal Crane; Harmonic Oscillation; Doomdog Octhros; Raidraptor - Mimicry Lanius; Superheavy Samurai Gigagloves; Cybernetic Fusion Support; Performapal Thunderhino; Yosenju Oyam

[collapse]

Nothing new here, next.

Spoiler

CROS 3

Deskbot 004; Raidraptor - Sharp Lanius; Dizzying Winds of Yosen Village; Edge Imp Chain; Chosen of Zefra; Superheavy Samurai Big Waraji; Superheavy Samurai Gigagloves; Diceversity; Void Purification

[collapse]

Edge Imp Chain searches another copy of itself when it attacks, and then searches a Frightfur card when sent to the GY. Double searching is always nice, even if it will probably die when it attacks.

Next pack.

Spoiler

CROS 4

Raidraptor - Sharp Lanius; Performapal Pinch Helper; Edge Imp Frightfuloid; U.A. Penalty Box; Infernoid Sjette; Putrid Pudding Body Buddies; Cybernetic Fusion Support; Diceversity; Stellarknight Zefraxciton

[collapse]

Nothing new here, next.

Spoiler

CROS 5

Cybernetic Fusion Support; Primitive Butterfly; Edge Imp Frightfuloid; Raidraptor - Mimicry Lanius; Putrid Pudding Body Buddies; U.A. Rival Rebounder; Shaddoll Zefracore; Fluffal Crane; Melodious Illusion

[collapse]

Nothing new here either. Kind of expected that. No higher rarity cards from this set. Maybe the next set will be better.

I’m sure Clash of Rebellions will deliver.

Spoiler

CORE 1

Bird of Paradise Lost; Igknight Squire; Performage Flame Eater; Back-Up Rider; Aromage Cananga; Performage Stilts Launcher; Igknight Gallant; Igknight Paladin; Kozmo Forerunner

[collapse]

Nothing new here, next.

Spoiler

CORE 2

Extinction on Schedule; Bird of Paradise Lost; Humid Winds; Raptor's Gust; Brilliant Spark; Igknight Gallant; Secret Blast; Performage Damage Juggler; Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju

[collapse]

Extinction on Schedule sucks. I mean, maybe I could use it for something, but honestly, no.

Next pack.

Spoiler

CORE 3

Brilliant Spark; Humid Winds; Raidraptor - Singing Lanius; Return of the Red-Eyes; Raptor's Gust; Extinction on Schedule; Igknight Squire; Aroma Jar; Mandragon

[collapse]

Return of the Red-Eyes is nice. Just unlimited dragons. Kind of. Unlimited lives for the same dragon. Hopefully I can get an extra copy so that Alice can have one.

Next pack.

Spoiler

CORE 4

Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius; Mystery Shell Dragon; Trick Box; Risebell the Summoner; Igknight Gallant; Retaliating "C"; Performapal Silver Claw; Performage Stilts Launcher; Mandragon

[collapse]

Nothing new here, next.

Spoiler

CORE 5

Performapal Drummerilla; Return of the Red-Eyes; Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius; Aroma Jar; Raptor's Gust; Retaliating "C"; Performage Hat Tricker; Ignition Phoenix; Crystal Rose

[collapse]

Crystal Rose is a fusion substitute. And I suppose a Foolish Burial. It's fine and it does help in case I want to make crystal flowers. They could be a beautiful gift.

Also, that second copy of Return of the Red-Eyes I wanted.

But still no higher rarity cards. Hopefully Dimension of Chaos will play ball.

Spoiler

DOCS 1

Superheavy Samurai Thief; Majespecter Crow - Yata; Super Soldier Rebirth; D/D Necro Slime; D/D Savant Galilei; Kaiju Capture Mission; Igknight Cavalier; Superheavy Samurai Drum; Graydle Slime

[collapse]

Kaiju Capture Mission is a bit too limited. I really feel like it should come with an effect that lets you control multiple Kaiju monsters, but maybe that is just me. Because as it is, it isn’t all that great. I mean, when the best part of a card is being MST bait for a draw 2, you know there are issues.

But if it let you control multiple Kaiju, it would actually be legitimately great. Because then it would be a real threat your opponent wants to get rid of. And if they do, you get that draw 2.

Next pack.

Spoiler

DOCS 2

Grand Horn of Heaven; Raptor's Ultimate Mace; Psychic Blade; D/D Savant Kepler; Dark Contract with the Witch; Raidraptor - Skull Eagle; Dark Contract with the Gate; Majespecter Crow - Yata; Pendulum Area

[collapse]

Nothing new here, next.

Spoiler

DOCS 3

D/D/D Contract Change; D/D/D Human Resources; Performage Plushfire; Raidraptor - Wild Vulture; Majespecter Fox - Kyubi; Superheavy Samurai Soulhorns; Kozmo Lightsword; Deskbot 006; Toon Barrel Dragon

[collapse]

Nothing new here, next.

Spoiler

DOCS 4

D/D Swirl Slime; D/D Necro Slime; Majespecter Fox - Kyubi; Majespecter Tempest; Superheavy Samurai Drum; Pot of The Forbidden; Graydle Split; Contract Laundering; Samurai Cavalry of Reptier

[collapse]

Nothing new here, next.

Spoiler

DOCS 5

Superheavy Samurai Soulclaw; Fluffal Wings; First-Aid Squad; Graydle Split; Igknight Cavalier; Raidraptor - Skull Eagle; Superheavy Samurai Soulhorns; D/D Savant Kepler; D/D/D Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok

[collapse]

First-Aid Squad here to save us from this nothingness. It isn’t good, but whatever.

Clearly Secrets of Eternity stole all of my luck. But it is what it is. You can’t always help in.

… no. I’m not feeding Pack Opener 200 tokens. Not today anyway. Some other day I will.
