Chapter 4531: Peak of Sky Sovereign

It didn’t take long for the core to resume spinning.

As it did, it began to pull the energies and consume them. Increasing the amount as it spins faster. In a matter of seconds, it starts to pull and consume a massive amount of energy.

This time, the cocktail is bigger. I am using twenty-three different energies.

They are powerful and help me comprehensively, along with helping me have a smooth breakthrough, which is very important to me.

I watched it consume the energies; every second, it consumed more and more of them, until it reached the limit a few moments later.

The limit is colossal. People would be shocked out of their minds if they saw it.

It is always the case for me.

The forbidden power, the ancient rune inheritance, my constitution, all of it makes my body ravenous, but I don’t mind, seeing the way it increases my strength.

I do not care about the resources. If they could give me an increase, I would be willing to spend all the resources I have in storage.

The world is filled with resources; the only thing one has to do to get them is to take risks.

Also, be a little lucky, without. It is very hard to return from those dangerous places. I lost count of the incidents that saved my life because I was a little lucky.

Without it, I would have died thousands of times.

I pushed those thoughts away and focused on my core. It had been only twenty minutes, and its consuming a massive amount of energy.

These are the safest states, but I still looked at everything for any problems.

If the problem is small enough, I could fix it before it becomes big enough to destroy the whole breakthrough. I will not let it happen, as failure means death.

So, second after I watched everything. In my core, and the data flashing in front of me.

Soon, an hour passed, and the absorption continued. The core had consumed a truly colossal amount of energy, but it didn’t seem to be enough for it.

It is still consuming and thankfully I have enough to let it have its full.

Even if it continued for another three hours, I wouldn’t be worried. Though if it goes above that, then I would be truly worried.

Twenty-three minutes and forty-three seconds passed when finally, the core seemed to have had enough.

It begins to slow down as it its absorption. Half a minute later, both of them stopped entirely.

Seeing that, a smile appeared on my face, but a moment later, they became stern once more. The absorption was the safest; I had never faced any problem with them.

Now, it is the merge, and this is the last time; here, my body and soul would merge.

It is the hardest and I have survived it at any cost, because if I did not. There is only death waiting for me on the other side.

At the thirteenth second, it began.

At first, I only felt heat, but within seconds, I felt as if I were being scorched. My body and soul are merging, and this merge is producing a violet reaction.

They are resisting; it is a forbidden power in them that is resisting hard.

It had merged with both, becoming distinct in each. So, they tried to merge, but it resisted hard. Still, it is happening, and I pushed my will toward it.

Earlier, I didn’t need to do that, and doing that would have been detrimental, but now here, I need to push every bit of will I have to succeed.

The pain increased as the process went further, making me grit my teeth.

I bore the pain and didn’t lose focus even a little. I need to keep pressing without letting my focus loose. If I did, I would pay.

Ahhhh!

Time passed, and the pain increased, so I screamed. It shook my focus, and my mind shook, beginning to unravel.

Horror filled my heart, and I used every bit of will to pierce through the pain and focus on the merging. I was barely able to stop it before it became too late.

I kept pressing on it, bearing greater and greater pain, but I did, with my mind entirely focused on finishing the merging.

I think of nothing, not even the torturous pain I am feeling. The only thing I care about right now is pressing the merge so that my body and soul will be fully merged.

Time passed, and the pain got worse and worse. I kept going despite wanting to give up every moment.

Memories of my family appeared in front of me.

I have to succeed, not for myself, but for my family. I cannot let myself die until I meet them and hold my child in my arms.

I don’t know how long it lasted, but suddenly, the pain began to lessen until it entirely disappeared.

I wanted to slump down and sleep. Even keeping my eyes open began to feel like a herculean task, but I kept them open because sleeping isn’t an option.

If I sleep, the breakthrough will fail, and I don’t want that to happen.

I kept my eyes open, and finally, the last process of the breakthrough began.

The crystalline layer begins to form on my core and spreads fully before it begins to deepen. I watched it with bated breath, for any problem that might arise.

I shouldn’t, this is a state, I could not do anything, but still I watched.

Minutes passed by, and soon fourteen minutes passed, and it finished; there was not a slightest problem that appeared, surprising me.

Buzz!

I was looking at it in relief when the runes came out, and a few seconds later, the core released powerful, thick breakthrough energies.

They filled every part of me, increasing my strength rapidly, which surprised me, but a moment later, a smile appeared on my face.

I need this strength, and I took it with a smile on my face.

It continued for nearly fifteen minutes before the last speck of energy was absorbed.

"God!" I said as I felt the energy coursing through my body. A moment later, I started taking a couple of deep breaths to calm myself.

It took a minute, but I finally calmed down and looked at myself.

"I have succeeded." I have broken through the Peak of Sky Sovereign, gaining the strength that Primes only dream of.
