Chapter 2338 - The Heart Is Like a Battlefield
Even after hearing that, the Butcher remained unmoved. He said flatly, “Nothing in this world is pre-ordianed.”
Su Yi agreed. “It’s true. There are no absolutes, but everyone makes mistakes. Even people like you mess up sometimes.”
“And what mistake did I make, exactly?” The Butcher furrowed his brow.
Su Yi pointed at the Butcher’s chest. “You ought to ask your heart devil that, not me.”
With that, he beckoned Wan Zitian over. “Come on, let’s go have a drink.”
Wan Zitian was stunned. “But what about him...?”
“This strike intended to sever his heart devil cannot cut me,” Su Yi said casually. He’d already lain back down on deck, utterly relaxed.
Wan Zitian turned to gaze at the distant Butcher, only to discover that although he looked outwardly calm, there was an undisguisable hint of astonishment on his brow.
He’d likely never anticipated that Su Yi would be so fearless, much less that he’d just turn around and leave!
Wan Zitina pondered briefly, then steered the treasure ship away. He planned to go around the Butcher, but then, Su Yi’s voice rang out once more. “Just go right past him. No need to take a detour. Let’s see if he can cut me.”
Wan Zitian rubbed his forehead, at a loss for words. He couldn’t even imagine where Su Yi got the confidence to say something like that. It seemed... simply insane!
But in the end, Wan Zitian didn’t say anything. Su Yi wasn’t afraid, so why should he be afraid?
