Tristan sat quietly, absorbing everything his mate said. Yes, it made sense, but not completely.
All his life, since Audrey was born. He had always seen her as the younger sister they couldn’t have because their mother’s womb collapsed after she gave birth to them.
And now he was meant to see her as a potential threat to his mate?
Everything Bethany and Theo had said would only make complete sense to him if he could check out things for himself, and that was what he was going to do. That was what he had to do.
Not because he didn’t trust the words of his beloved mate and brother, but because of his own conviction. It’s easier to deal with a threat when your conviction is very stable.
Sighing, he shoved the thought to the back of his mind, his curiosity taking the highest seat again.
"Okay. I’d think about that." He said, squeezing her lap, giving her a reassuring look as he glanced at her. In as much as he wasn’t completely convicted, he wasn’t going to let her feel like her position in their lives was under threat.
"Alright." She said, giving him a small smile.
"Yep. So, what else have you heard about me? That isn’t the only one, is it?" He asked with an arched eyebrow as he saw her face blank for a moment.
"No it isn’t. I’m just trying to recall the actual thing." She muttered, eyebrows furrowed as she thought. "Oh, I’ve got it." She said, a sly grin spread across her lips, causing him to chuckle in confusion when he saw it.
