Chapter 119: Mia.
"Hmmm..." She sighed, digesting his words.
"Just give her a shot whenever you meet her next." Tristan suggested. "And, oh. She might know we’re mates." He added, tentatively.
That pulled her out of her thoughts. She stared at him with eyes widened in alarm. "How?! You promised!" She whisper-screamed with gritted teeth.
"Yes. And I didn’t break it, I swear." He said lifting his pinky, his face filled with worry.
Bethany’s angry gaze moved to his lifted pinky, before moving back to his face, her angry gaze mixed with one of confusion now.
Why a grown ass man had his pinky finger lifted in the air as he swore confused her like hell.
"So why and how did she know?" She asked, deciding to ignore the fact that her 6’7, intimidating, broody mate had his little finger up in the air, even though she silently found it cute.
"I rented the diner, Princess. And I brought you here with me. I always come here whenever I can, without renting out the place. So when she saw me come in with you, I knew she was going to figure it out, and the special extra wide grin she gave you only confirmed it. So I did keep my promise." He explained, putting down his hand.
"Technically." Bethany grunted, her arms folded across her chest. ’Just perfect. Now, someone from their pack knows their secret.’
"Bunny, I’m so sorry." Tristan couldn’t help but plead, his nervous thoughts trying as hard as possible to slip from his grip.
