Chapter 91: Warehouse.
Bethany scurried to the kitchen before he could make a jump at her, cursing him.
She ran her fingers on the shiny large marble table top, that sat in the middle of his perfectly sized L-shaped kitchen.
She hadn’t had the time to admire the place when they came in earlier, but from where she stood, everywhere looked so..warm.
Too warm it didn’t look like Theo at all. Not because he was an executioner, but because, it didn’t seem like him to own such a place littered with photos of trees, shrubs, flowing rivers and soft animals; all taken during sunset.
The warmth emanating from them made the dark brown-themed house feel warmer than it should.
Sighing, she turned back to the kitchen, deciding to get to work. Everyone had left to carry out their parts, she had to do hers as well.
She headed to his built-in refrigerator, pulling it open, and shaking her head when she found it completely empty except for a bottle of red wine.
She took it out, shut the refrigerator and placed it on the counter. Deciding to check the cupboards, she began opening them one by one. Each contained different kitchen utensils, simple ones and very complicated ones she didn’t even bother thinking about.
When she got to the last one, she tugged on it, like she did the others, but it didn’t open. With furrowed eyebrows, she tugged harder on it letting some of her werewolf strength seep in, pulling it from the hinges, opening it completely with a loud noise, her eyes widening as she took in the contents of the previously sealed cupboard.
Wads of cash, five guns and some black cases she could only assume where extra bullets sat in the cupboard.
She looked utterly confused as to why he’d put such things in the kitchen.
