Chapter 64: A Warm Embrace
The next morning, I woke up to a knock on my bedroom door.
"Second Miss, I’ve been sent to make sure you’re awake and starting to get ready. I’ve left your outfit outside your door."
I sat up in my bed and glanced at the time. It was only three a.m. and I was already told to wake up.
Don’t I need to be at Christian’s at six? Why are they waking me up so early?
"Thank you. I’m awake," I replied.
As the maid’s footsteps got farther away, I finally got out of bed and made my way over to the shower.
Hopefully, I’ll get an opportunity to sleep during the flight.
The only thing that kept me going was my desire to see Christian. Thankfully, the hot water from the shower helped me wake up a little.
After showering, I put on a robe and went to retrieve the box with my prepared outfit. After opening the lid, I wasn’t surprised to find a fairly standard office outfit consisting of a cream colored pencil skirt and a pink blouse.
"Could be worse," I said under my breath and quickly changed into it.
I knew that my mother would most likely wake up early just to ensure that I looked appropriate before I set off, so I decided to take some time to do something with my hair.
