Chapter 185: kiss

Ace was almost glaring at me after those words left his mouth, but the glare didn’t form fully since arousal had his face contoured beautifully. I let out a ragged breath, hesitating for a fleeting moment before gently cupping his face with my two hands. His lips parted as he puffed out a low breath, while his eyes bored into mine, filled with determination and something else entirely.
I dragged my thumb over his soft cheeks while my heart thumped hard against my side.
His lips parted again and he let out a ragged breath. It was clear that he wanted to say something at first but he ended up deciding against it. I tilted his head backward. Ace was tall, he wasn’t that short compared to me, but the few inches I had on him was enough for him to have to tilt his head back if he wants to stare at me like this. I let out a breathy sigh before speaking.
"I want to kiss you, Ace." I paused for a moment, taking in the way his eyes brightened up. "I’ve wanted to do so for ages. But I was unsure..."
I was still speaking when he shook his head. "But I wanted you to kiss me." He spoke quietly and I huffed in realization that we’ve been on the same page this whole time.
"Oh, I had no idea." I admitted quietly. "I actually like you, Ace. I’m attracted to you, a lot, but it’s more than that. If anything is gonna go down between us, I don’t want it to be just physical." I revealed this time, my fingers still stroking his soft cheeks.
"I like you too, I thought my actions made that obviously." He muttered and I rolled my eyes.
"Well, actions do speak louder than words, but not in a situation like that. I told myself I’d make a move if you do first, since I’m the older one and wouldn’t went it to seem like I’m taking advantage of you.,," I trained off in a sigh and he frowned.
