Chapter 183: thunderbolts

It was raining, and the clouds were pitch black. I glanced over at Ace who was chewing on his bottom lip, staring outside the window. Once again, I found myself being transfixed by the sheer handsomeness of his face.
He was sitting in the passenger seat of my car, and we had just driven from Jason’s after having that conversation with them. Shortly after I pulls up in my compound, the sky opened and it began to pour heavily.
"I guess we have to wait in here till the rain reduces." I said as a way to break the silence. Ace stiffened before glancing at me and I was hit with a sharp wave of desire. The air felt tight and charged between us, and Witt each passing day, it was getting harder to resist pulling him into a kiss. But of course I’d never do that, not without being sure if he wanted me or not.
All his actions might say that he wanted me but I couldn’t ne too sure and would prefer to hear the answer from his mouth instead of just assuming.
"Or we could just run right into the house, the rain would barely touch us that way." He said almost dryly with a low chuckle and I shook my head, reaching out to brush his hair out of his face: my fingers felt like it tingled as it brushed against the soft skin of his forehead and I reluctantly pulled my hand away to huff out a breath.
"We’re not doing that. What if you get hit by one of the thunderbolts?" I said and he rolled his eyes while snickering.
"Oh my, you’re such an old man." He sighed and I stiffened, feeling a little self conscious and feeling that brief part of me that was certain he considered me too old for him and won’t ever be attracted to me, pulse to life at once.
"Brat." I huffed out before leabing against my seat and pushing my hair out of my face. Ace didn’t say anything and silence began to stretch out between us till I broke it.
