Chapter 178: Severing ties
Rory
As soon as those words left my mouth, Jason’s mouth went into a thinner line as he reached for my hand.
"Rory, don’t pay her any heed." He admonished while Kenny nodded as he stepped closer to us.
"I remember her accusing you of wanting to ruin her wedding. She’s a horrible person who definitely doesn’t deserve you." Jenny announced and I laughed a little at the end of his sentence, but I couldn’t deny that he was making a lot of sense.
"That’s right. And didn’t she believe that Trevor over you despite you two being friends? She’s always gonna be that dumb friend that will pick a man over anything else." Jason bit Oye and at the mention of Trevor, a flood of memories swam through my mind immediately. Once upon a time, with Raya and Trevor, I thought I had discovered a found family for myself, one that’s similar to a favorite trope of mine when it came to books. But it soon ended up coming to an end right before me.
I let out a sigh as I laid my hands on my mates chest.
"Guys, I’m not going out there to invite her in." I began.
I might have a very good compassionate heart but even I have a limit. And Raya had gotten to that fucking limit. It’s high time I show her that my foot is now on the ground when it comes to her. Like Jenny had said, she really doesn’t deserve me and I didn’t mean it in a gloating way.
Despite her accusing me of wanting to ruin her wedding, when I saw her new husband and his actual wife and kids together, I could have turned a blind eye like my mates asked me to. But because I still liked her and wanted to still look out for her, I confronted him and even called her. But of course she threw my kindness right into my face and literally asked me to go fuck myself. And that’s definitely why I was able to get kidnapped, and of course she didn’t even notice that I was gone.
Which is why she didn’t deserve me and why I definitely wouldn’t be giving her another chance, and that’s if she’s here to apologize.
"Why are you going to see her? Just ignore her." Jason spoke, looking very unimpressed.
