I tracked their every move, against my will in most cases, but I couldn’t help it. My mind just kept getting strayed towards them every few minutes.
"So what do you love to do when bored?" Sam asked, pulling me pot of my thoughts and I clench my jaw, reminding myself to remain calm.
"I love the silence." I snapped in response and If Sam could tell that I was irritated, he didn’t care because he only giggled like I had just said something extremely funny before pressing up against me again.
Lord. Tonight is gonna be a long one.
My eyes drifted across the room again and as I watched Kenny hand a glass of drink to Rory who flashed him a smile before taking Kenny’s offered hand, and then they continued to mingle. As I kept staring at them, I kept wondering if they knew that I was present right now or if they’re yet to notice. My bet was on the latter because if they had, they’d instantly try to throw me out, but in all honesty, I really didn’t tail them here.
I let out a long sigh, scrubbing my palm across my face. My tie felt too tight and the material of the suit was starting to feel scratchy against my skin. The mixture of multiple scents in the air was starting to make me feel nauseous but I was trying to ignore how it was starting to make my stomach turn.
A writer walked by and I picked up one of the drinks off the tray, throwing the entire thing back at once.
