Chapter 48: Confrontations With Alex

Disgust filled up my nose as soon as I alighted my car right here in Alex’s pack.
I haven’t been here in over five years, and this pack still looked and smelt like it did five years ago. I wasn’t supposed to be here, I was only here right now because of one thing.

I could see the moment the guards outside Alex’s palace grew uneasy as soon as they sensed my presence, even before they recognized who I was.
It wasn’t hard to sense whenever an enigma was present, because our aura was like ten alphas’s presences combined together into one person.
Two guards flanked me as I walked towards the gate of Alex’s palace. By the time I stopped at the front, the guards were all trembling in their boots, eyes filled with unspeakable fear.
I knew they wouldn’t have it in them to stop me and so I easily walked past them into the palace, enjoying the gasps of fear that filled the air from guards as I kept walking forward.
This was one of the perks of being an enigma Alpha. Every normal alpha is automatically underneath you, and they know that.
