Chapter 44: Meeting Up

"You don’t know anything about me, apart from my name and where I work, that is." I pointed out to Kenny seated across from me at the table by the window.
After texting a lot last night, I offered to bring along his shirt when he asked if we could meet up. We were currently in a restaurant that wasn’t so packed. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and comfortable and the food tasted really good as well.
"But I can definitely get to know you, no? That was what I had in mind." He responded with a small pout and I sighed. The cute sound made my heart constrict a little in my chest.
I sipped from my wine as I regarded him from underneath my lashes. He was in a black jeans jacket that hugged his lean muscles and the scent he was emitting felt quite nice to my omega.

I’d never admit it to him but before I got to wash his shirt, I pressed the material against my nose and took a deep inhale, which I instantly felt guilty about. Although right now, I was thinking about how his scent would make my nest feel so much nicer.
"Kenny..." I finally began after shoving those ridiculous thoughts out of my mind. He arched a brow, patiently waiting for me to continue.
"I don’t know about this to be honest." I admitted quietly before ducking my head and letting out a small sigh.
Kenny remained silent, giving me all the time to process my feelings.
"I don’t think this thing that’s about to happen between us is supposed to happen." I admitted after a little while and then I glanced up at him.
