Chapter 12: Strung Up

He didn't pounce on me instantly like I had thought he was gonna do. After seeing how much most alphas always want to get into my pants, I was very certain that if they were present right now, they'd have pounced on me at once.
But this alpha didn't, which made me silently wonder if he finds me desirable to begin with.
Not that it really matters to me. All I care about in this situation is being hidden until tomorrow. If this stranger agreed to help me even though he wasn't attracted to me, that's his loss and not mine.
As soon as the stranger pulled away from his seat, he walked towards the other side of the room and pulled open the large closet there. He looked through it before retrieving a shirt which he threw at me as soon as he stopped beside the bed.
"You should go take a shower. I'd send breakfast your way before you leave the bathroom." He announced and shock floored through every inch of my body as his words settled in my head, causing my eyes to widen in disbelief.
As I picked the the shirt which smelled strongly of him, i clutched it against my racing heart while trying my best to keep holding his gaze. My mouth felt dry and even though I was currently in bed, it felt like I was standing on unsteady grounds.
I cleared my throat, ignoring the color dusted over my cheeks.
"Uh, thank you so much." I whispered and he hummed with a nod, causing me to suppress a shudder as I slid out of the bed, his shirt still clutched against my chest.
In this position, he towered over me, making me feel even smaller in his presence. I knew he was tall since I saw how he filled out his seat, but I didn't know it was to this extent. I swallowed emptily before awkwardly stepping past him, cheeks aflame as I heard towards the restroom and disappeared into it.
Once in it, I slammed the door closed and slumped against it, heart racing. Even though I was no longer in his presence, it felt like he could still see me and that made my stomach flutter, feeling quite fuzzy.
